All they have left is dirt...
Todd Gitlen, author, speaking on C-SPAN just said he believes the 2006 election will be even worse than 2004 and 2002 campaigns, with the commercials from the Republicans. He said since they have spent the surplus and since they cannot govern because they do not believe in government, they have nothing left to campaign upon. I agree with him. This will be one of the dirtiest Republican campaigns in history, in my opinion. All they have left is dirt and mud. They are traitors to our nation.

1. Add a "Swift=boating" macro to your arsenal. It appears that is
what they'll be doing to everyone with a record. They'll make up lies to discredit Dems with a record of public service, whether in politics, or a public job.

2. The Republicans are Nazis
They hate people with any skin color other than white.

They hate gays.

They hate freedom.

They hate poor people.

They hate God.

They hate...

...I'll save myself some space here.

They hate anything and everything that is not a rich, white Republican.

They are Nazis.

4. they'll try to keep the debate centered on "national security" and...
...WOT as much as possible. If dems allow themselves to be drawn into those debates, like Kerry did, I think the repubs will do surprisingly well. Rather than trying to out-do them on their signature issues, dems REALLY need to get out the message that that road has led to failure and cannot be made to go anywhere else, then focus on the other failures under republican leadership. Don't let them get solid footing on the national security issue, and don't participate in that debate. That is the most important thing, IMO.

5. I agree...
Democrats should continue to point out the areas where the Republicans have failed and failed miserably. But, on issues of national defense and war, they should point out that the Republicans have failed at that also. But they should not focus on those issues primarily because war and naitonal defense are issues that are divisive and tends to help Republicans, even though they have failed miserably.

7. They're filthy, craven cowards
hopefully our guys will start using those terms to describe them. I would mention Rove, Libby, Delay at every opportuniy, and use the words coward and failure liberally.
