Speaking to a conservative friend about Bush's speech
He thought the speech was very centrist, common sense, and do-able.

But we both acknowlegdged that it would not be good enough for either the left and the right, and that this issue seems to cut down the middle of both sides, left and right.

Interesting, esp in relation to 2006.

I live in Freeperville, and this is how I relate to the freepers in my life. The ones I can even have a conversation with are at least able to objectively wonder what will happen this next election.

We both also agree that Michael Savage is a wingnut, I discovered tonight. I think Michael is out there even for your average Conservative/Repub.
