My ideal Democratic Platform for 2006
"We will withdraw from Iraq. We will apologize. We will negotiate reparations. We will provide peaceful assistance to Iraq. We will finish what we started in Afghanistan."

"We will impeach Bush, Cheney. We will turn them over to the International Court."

"We will turn over all signatories to the PNAC Manifesto to the International Court."

"We will investigate and prosecute those involved with election irregularities in 2000 and 2004."

"We will return the Government to fiscal responsibility."

"We will capture Osama bin Laden and his cohorts. We will address the inequities that cause people to join groups like his."

"We will work to recover the United States' tarnished reputation around the world."

That would be a start.

1. It'd be a start, except...
Almost all of those come under the juridiction of the Executive Branch. Even if we took over Congress, the vast majority of that would be impossible, short of the investigations and the fiscal responsibility.

4. The first three...
would be losing issues to get elected on the minute the ink dried on the paper. Most Americans rally have little faith in turning ANY Americans over to the jurisdiction of any court outside of the US. And paying reparations to Iraq, while noble, would really turn people off that feel that too much money has been spent in Iraq already.
