Coulter, Conservatives, and a Little Fairness
I hate neoconservative philosophy--and its little yapdogs like Coulter--with a passion. But please bear in mind that "neoconservative" and "conservative" are two different words, for a reason, and not every conservative buys into this nonsense. Check this out:

http://www.coulterwatch.com/

"Coulter Watch is a site that promotes the proposition that Conservatism can only endure as a viable and vibrant movement if it maintains a commitment to the core character traits of honor and integrity, honesty and virtue."

And they seem to honestly believe that. As you might imagine, there are several recent articles, and not a pro-Coulter comment to be found. These are Old-School Conservatives, not the Offspring of Newt Gingrich and Tom DeLay. We may not agree with them on every issue, but these are the people we can work with.

(...Instead of defending Ted Rall for depicting the 9-11 Widows as moneygrubbing whores, then being made to look like hypocrites when we blast Coulter for the same thing later.)

1. Conservatives and Republicans are generally fair & honorable.
The trouble is, real conservatives have about as much say in the direction of political discourse in this country as real liberals. And real Republicans don't control their own party anymore. America has been hijacked by neocon corporatist fascists.

2. It doesn't matter
when it really comes down to it. Though these people might be "good" people, they are not showing that, regardless of what label they have.

You don't ignore that your party has been taken over.
You don't keep silent when you see your ideals being bludgeoned.
You don't allow good people to be undermined when you know they're good.
You don't allow unscrupulous and criminal people to get away with murder.
You don't make yourself invisible when your presence is needed most.

If these "good" people are truly good people, they would speak up, and shove the criminal element into the spotlight and disown them immediately.

If these good people are true patriots, they would, but since they aren't, they're nothing but gutless cowards.

Welcome to Coulter Watch!

Coulter Watch is a site that promotes the proposition that Conservatism can only endure as a viable and vibrant movement if it maintains a commitment to the core character traits of honor and integrity, honesty and virtue.

If these guys would follow this to a tee they would never win another election. That is why the R masses ignore the take over, keep silent though publically promote ideals while sociopaths run the party of Lincoln into the ground.

Make grand statements like the above and allow The Mob to run things, until they realize The Mob has ruined it all for them. And NOW they want Coulter squelched?
