Rove smears two veterans
It takes a real man to insult two veterans, two men who have fought for this country, for backing down from a battle. From Reuters:
Rove, one of Washington's most powerful and polarizing figures who is under investigation in the leak of a CIA covert operative's name, chided Democrats for floating the idea of troop reductions in Iraq.

He specifically targeted Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha.

"Like too many Democrats it strikes me they are ready to give the green light to go to war, but when it gets tough, they fall back of that party's old platform of cutting and running. They may be with you for the first few bullets but they won't be there for the last tough battles," he said.
This, of course, coming from a man who wasn't there for any bullets, nor was he there for any battles.

15. The reply, from that thread
Below is a statement from Kerry’s chief spokesperson, David Wade:

“The closest Karl Rove ever came to combat was these last months spent worrying his cellmates might rough him up in prison. This porcine political operative can't cut and run from the truth any longer. When it came to Iraq, this Administration chose to cut and run from sound intelligence and good diplomacy, cut and run from the best military advice, cut and run from their responsibility to give our troops body armor, and in November, Americans will cut and run from this Republican Congress.”

7. Rove is desperate to take the focus off the Republican War
And their own version of the Vietnam War. The American people know that this was Bush's War and Rove's War and Rumsfeld's War. Rove can't spin that away, he can't concoct a smear big enough to hide the lies and incompetence that led to an unecessary war. Rove can't wash away the blood of 18,000 wounded or 2,500 dead with another smear. Nothing can wash that away.

13. It's obvious they fear Kerry and Murtha's withdrawal plans will catch on
with congress and the public ..........sooooooo......

So OUR course of action must be to call our congresspeople and our local papers and demand support for these withdrawal plans.

14. Maybe Pussyface has something to say to Hagel too
Perhaps that filthy scumbag has something to say to another vet, Chuck Hagel.

Hagel has been vocal about the war's unsuccessful history. Perhaps we could start a nice little battle between them.
