3. Dems need to wise up.
Jay Severin was on Imus this morning. He said Dems are being labeled with "cut and run" (wasn't that put out by the Dough-boy that didn't get indicted for leaking the CIA agent's name) when it should be "cut our losses."

Dems need to create their own "sound bites" and then hang tough together.

The "stay" and "leave" is right on target. The Senate Democrats should have voted as a block on the Iraq resolutions two days ago. Now they look like fools and will have this used against them through the 2008 elections.

4. The problem is that "cut and run" is a KERRY phrase...
(no, he didn't invent it but he used it in the primaries)

"In a major national security address Wednesday Democratic presidential contender John Kerry was sounding an alarm about premature U.S. withdrawal from Iraq. “I fear that in the run-up to the 2004 election the administration is considering what is tantamount to a cut-and-run strategy,” Kerry said in remarks prepared for delivery to the Council on Foreign Relations."

6. What is the year of that link? I just see Dec. 3. Could it be 2003?
That goes a long way back to link cut and run to Kerry. Rove used the phrase recently in a speech.

From the same link - Kucinich was speaking then about the widening conflict:

    Kucinich says pull out
“No one else (among the Democratic contenders) is saying definitively that we must end the occupation, and I’m the only one doing it,” Kucinich told MSNBC.com last week. “I see this as being a defining issue in this election. We must have a plan to get out. Not maybe. I put a plan on my Web site a month ago. We must have the Democrats united in ending the occupation. Otherwise we’re in the same situation we are in now, with the death toll continuing to mount … and the possibility of the conflict widening.”

Thank you for the link.

5. I don't agree with either one...
our apparent divisions will not play in the minds of the American voter as some believe.

7. If we ever had a chance to take back the house, this should have been it.
These cartoons are right on, in my opinion.
