Bush Accuses Democrats of "Waving White Flag Of Surrender."
Does Bush think the same of Gen. Casey?

According to the Washington Post, Bush has been using the "white flag of surrender" at fundraisers throughout the month, "adopting the more cutting approach of his senior political adviser, Karl Rove."

The applause line is red meat for conservative-friendly audiences willing to pledge millions for re-election campaigns. But it's out of date -- a point the Post fails to mention.

2. The flag Bush waves should be a red one.
Colored with the blood of the dead people killed by his war. And as he waves it at his Kool Aid drinking audience, splatters of fresh blood should be flung on their faces. They are equally responsible for the bloodshed due to their support of this man.

If the King had a party and no one showed up, there wouldn't be much of a Kingdom, would there?

5. MORE BUSH STRAWMAN ARGUMENTS with Imaginary Democrats
http://www.forbes.com/business/businesstech/feeds/ap/2006/03/20/ap2606302.html

<snip>

When the president starts a sentence with "some say" or offers up what "some in Washington" believe, as he is doing more often these days, a rhetorical retort almost assuredly follows.

The device usually is code for Democrats or other White House opponents. In describing what they advocate, Bush often omits an important nuance or substitutes an extreme stance that bears little resemblance to their actual position.

He typically then says he "strongly disagrees" - conveniently knocking down a straw man of his own making.

Bush routinely is criticized for dressing up events with a too-rosy glow. But experts in political speech say the straw man device, in which the president makes himself appear entirely reasonable by contrast to supposed "critics," is just as problematic.

6. When you can't argue on the merits
Make up an argument for your opponent and refute that.

It's an old lawyer dodge: When the facts are against you, pound the law. When the law is against you, pound the facts. When the facts and the law are against you, pound the table. Little George is whomping the Formica for all he's worth.

12. Figures don't lie. Liars figure. With no less than NINE decorated...
...generals coming out against the Iraq war, including General Baptiste <sp?>---who was on the ground during the invasion for god's sake!---and renowned Democratic, and decorated marine & Hawk, Jack Murtha all requesting (demanding?) Rumsfeld's resignation for this failed war while Bush "figures" Rummy is "doing a great job", and is now "figuring" the Democratic Party is "waving a white flag", what credibility does this draft dodging pro-war mongering pResident have?

Why is it so hard for the MSM to point this out?? I mean IFthere was, indeed, a "left-wing media bias", wouldn't they be all over this instead of burying this glaring fact behind sudden, thundering silence?
