Gay Marriage would limit religious freedom
The latest fucking lunacy drummed up by constitution hating bastards who call themselves "christians."

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/25/us/politics/25conserve.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin

The hate is just not intense enough for dobson and falwell and the rest of the radical christian clerics in this country. They got together in another one of their value gaggles. The only thing they value is hate and the ruination of our constitution.

If Gays can't Marry and can't join the military then why the hell are they paying taxes while those in a tax exempt status plot their demise? Thomas Jefferson and Jesus Christ would have an ass whupping party if they were with us today.

3. Is the IRS investigating THESE people's tax-exempt status???

Just asking.

Clearly these folks believe the old maxim, "Your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins" is also a limitation on religious freedom...

4. Their religious convictions are so precarious
They can't handle such public dissent. It's bad enough they can't put folks in the stocks anymore, and all those namby-pamby libruls with their insistence on evidence and due process have taken most of the fun out of the death penalty. Letting gays get married would just discombobulate poor Jerry and Jimmy, they'd probably have to shower together and show each other their penises just to confirm their religious identity.

6. Jeeze, this debate is getting tiresome
What is it with these people? No one has ever been able to explain to me how my partner and I getting married would affect anyone but us.

7. My Religious Freedom is Being Violated Then!
Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 10:47 AM by butlerd
I guess having the law guarantee (or at least not prohibit) anything that one is opposed to on moral grounds limits religious freedom? :wtf: Well, I'm morally opposed to allowing the President (or anybody else) from holding people (potentially) indefinitely without formal charges and allowing them to use interrogation techniques on prisoners that I might not agree with. Can I then sue for violation of MY religious freedom?:D
