Gov.Taft (R-OH) no longer has the lowest approval rating in the country!!!
He has got some serious momentum, maybe it isn't to late for a 06 run!
Here is the bottom 3 governors according to the recent surveyusa.com polls. All Republicans.

Kentucky - Fletcher, Ernie - approval 31%, dissapproval 64%
Ohio - Taft, Bob - approval 19%, dissaproval 77%

1. Yep, Frankie pulled it off...
He's been trying for that coveted number 1 spot for months now. We're so glad he lost the primary.

3. I'm not from any of those three states
and cannot understand how they have any approval at all. Those are three horrendous human beings. There approval rating should be zero. Oh, I forgot, the strength and power of "value voters."

8. Next to last and making CHANGES.
Your very lucky but remember that we people of Ohio are proud to say that we have a Governor that was convicted of fraud in office, plus he's so dam ugly that my TV shuts off when he gets enough balls to stand in front of a camera.
Other then allowing billions of dollars to be pissed away I still hate the bastard for his responds to the black out we suffered through a few years ago. The SOB was to busy vacationing at his family's lakefront estate in Canada to return and at least pretend he was doing his job.
I hate to admit this but us Ohio people are the dumbest voters in the USA. History shows that we elected the bastard that ordered our very own National Guard Troops to shoot students at Kent State, then we go and elect a person with the one name that any American that has spent time on a picket line to know well and hate. It's in their blood to keep the poor working man down.
I only hope and pray that the pending court case implement his ass so he can do some real time.

4. How did Murkowski become this unpopular?
I know a bit about why Taft is so unpopular, but what did Frankie do, besides the nepotist appointment of his daughter to his Senate seat?

10. I'm wordering too
It can't be all because he appointed his daughter to the US Senate.

Has be been caught in a major scandal? Alaska politics is less likely to get national attention than a missing teenager in Fairbanks.

5. Damn! Willard's Only 11th-Worst
I'm surprised that my own entry, Willard Romney, is so popular in Mass. Everyone in the Boston area can't stand him him.

9. Bush seems to have sparked an unintended rivalry
A race to the bottom of decency.

If Democrats do not seize the day in November, well.........I will feel as sick and unwelcome in my own country as I did in 04.

11. We're 45! We're 45!!
Gee, doesn't have the same "oomph" as "We're Number 1". Looks like, her in Indiana, Governor C. Montgomery Daniels (AKA "Their Bitch Mitch") has a -16% overall rating.

I could have told them that. :eyes:

13. Probably not, unfortunately
Pete Wilson's numbers were even worse when he was re-elected. No one ever even suggested that election was fixed. It was no surprise.

The Democrats in California have nominated a weak candidate. Right after the primary, I spoke with my son and nephew and was surpised to learn that both were considering voting for Schwarzenegger. They agree with me that Arnold, like Gray Davis who was recalled, has no clue what to do about the state budget crisis and spends entirely too much time fundraising. However, that's just what they expect of Phil Angelides, so they would prefer to stick with Arnold.
