Obey, Cleland Speak Out Against Ad That Distorts Sherrod Brown's Record

Several Democrats are speaking out against a new advertisement that claims Rep. Sherrod Brown, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Ohio, voted against better body armor, vehicle armor and housing for U.S. troops in Iraq.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee ad distorts Brown's record. While Brown voted against a Republican-sponsored bill in 2003 that included provisions for better armor and living conditions, he did vote for an alternative bill sponsored by Rep. David Obey (D-WI).

and then "voted against" ... so they're equally as guilty ... but then, Dems don't have the media backing them up ...

2. GOP has no shame

they can make this claim about anything.

Elaine Chao, the Labor Secretary, chastised Dems on CNN for voting against the minimum wage hike. She didn't note that the GOP only would allow it if Dems helped get rid of the estate tax. CNN didn't notice either.
