The American people, again, are getting a lesson on how spin works.
of course political spin has been around a long time, but I think everyone here knows that the * White House pushes political spin to it's absolute limits.

Trying to soften the blow and downgrade what is a blatant and sick violation of the publics trust in this Representative of the people is outrageous. I think any American who is paying attention is going to be disturbed at seeing the blatant political spin of Foley and the lack of accountability handling his pedophile problem by Republican leadership.

We have had to stand by and wait for things to get worse before they get better, unfortunately for our Country. Republicans have controlled the media, the message, and political power, all with a "means justify the ends" mentality. Too Republicans, lies don't matter if you win, and they capitalized on an American public who, after 9/11, was left gullible, weak, frightened, and looking for strength in our leaders.

SO Bush and the Republicans have pursued the method of winning with deceitful tactics, driven by the underlying greed that is the very fiber of the Republican party. Unfortunately for America, many Americans have turned on their friends, family, and neighbors who "beg to differ" and became a very large, very powerful political spin machine, and they know it. THEY KNOW that they are thinking with an "end justifies the means" mentality. I don't think there's a single Righty who doesn't know in their guts how wrong they have been.

My point is this may be the straw that breaks the camels back for a very large part of the population. Excusing torture, incompetence, unaccountability, eavesdropping, needless death, 9/11, border security, airport security, port security and now pedophilia is just too obviously wrong.

Republicans are the party of excuses. The American people want results.

1. I think you are correct.

I don't believe a republic has a chance in hell of winning an accurate election in 2006. But they've got their little untrustworthy computerized voting machines and they are rigging the polls so.......It's fifty-fifty if Americans will let them steal another election.
