101st Fighting Keyboarder publishes Foley victim info - let the
swiftboating begin. Given their slime and smear methods, I'm surprised it took them this many days. Yeah, the party of "Family Values" looking out for the children once again! Bastards. I hope the first thing Congress does when we retake the house is mandatory military service for these chickenhawks - let them go play in the sand while we bring the real troops home.

http://www.rawstory.com/printstory.php?story=3465

The blog Passionate America has revealed the identity and published a photograph of an alleged victim of disgraced Rep. Mark Foley in a post that was pulled and later re-posted with additional information.

RAW STORY can verify that the young man in question is not the Congressional page from the emails that originally surfaced; with that in mind, a direct link to the Passionate America post is not provided here.

RAW STORY has learned that the recipient of the Foley emails is currently 17 (and was 16 at the time of the correspondence).

<snip>

However, even if he is now 21, the man identified could still have been as young as 16 at the time of the messages. ABC has stated that they are in possession of chat logs from as much as five years back.

1. That's it, blame the victims and every parent of teenagers and
twenty-somethings will vote their bad asses out of office in thirty-one days. Good fucking god, what the hell is the matter with these morons?

2. I saw the posting yesterday ...
it was taken down last I heard; he may have put it back up.

He states that the person Foley was chatting with online is actually over 18. He shows photos and webscreen shots, AOL users, MySpace, etc.

The red flag for me was at the beginning of his "expose" when he shows a screenshot of a chat between Foley and the page with the pages's username X'd out. He then says he "snooped" around the ABC website and found a screenshot of the same chat, only this time the username is not X'd out. I really find it hard to believe that a news organization would just happen to have that on their website.

3. It's back up, slightly modified. But after that wonderful intro about

how he would explain WHY he felt this info needed to be posted, you scroll through 3-4 screens of how he tracked it down (too simple to say Fax from Karl I guess) and never once says anything about why he though this kid needed to be identified. The young man named has apparently hired an attorney

Or perhaps they've also had cybersex with bin Laden!

That's it! Foley was defending us against terror by infiltrating a terrorist cybersex ring! The Dems are soft on terrorism!

10. Worse than that, major RW blogs are promoting this
LGF for example. One thing that bewilders me is that they are saying "he was 18" at the time of an IM dated February 3, when his 18th birthday was several weeks away. And that exchange obviously refers to previous contacts with Foley. I hope the young man's lawyers sue Kerr into bankruptcy over this-- witness intimidation.

15. Tristero at Hullaballoo has a good commentary on this
http://digbysblog.blogspot.com/

excerpt:
Also, it may seem paradoxical but the outing of the names and the accompanying lies actually is an attempt to suppress as much real information as possible. Knowing that the extreme right will post your name and your picture and then lie about you all over the internets is a strong incentive to shut up if you were the victim of sexual harassment by Republicans. I suspect their tactic will be extremely effective.

IF this kid is involved in this, and despite the fact that he is a Republican, let me be the first to say that I will personally contribute $50 to his legal funds to go after these bastards. This is absolutely outrageous and a gross violation of privacy and personal liberty.

18. That's a great idea, make every kid who steps forward
and gets trashed a millionaire through lawsuits. Now there's an incentive for the lying "swiftboat" types to STFU.

Let's not forget this one.

19. It is the very least that could be done.
There is no way in hell I am going to stand by and watch some kid get swiftboated -- and I'm well aware that he's grown now -- by these sorry SOBs. This is the very least that could be done to knock these Repub-freaks down a few levels.
