Choice quotes:

"I'm deeply sorry this has happened and the bottom line is we're taking responsibility," Hastert, R-Ill., told a news conference outside his district office.

"Ultimately, the buck stops here," the speaker said of the controversy enveloping the House, former Republican Rep. Mark Foley of Florida and the page program, a venerable institution almost as old as the Congress itself.

2. Deeply sorry what happened, Mr. Hastert?
That Foley did what he did for so long, or that it finally came out?

Hang in there, Denny. Millions of voters who can't fathom why torture isn't a good policy surely understand stalking and cover-ups. You're reaching a far larger audience for Republican irresponsibility and malfeasance with the Foley Affair than we've been able to attain with anything in the last six years of Republican perfidy.

4. Sorry, buck stops over there.
He referenced "my staff" and "Other staffs" as to possible transgressions and investigations.
NOT him personally.

5.  That's what a baseball manager says at a post game press conference...
He still is not taking these crimes seriously. It is all lip service. Fine by me. Let them fall slowly and painfully.
