Freepers defend one of their heroes-one of their own, Timothy McVeigh.
McVeigh, a Registered Republican and NRA member, has always been held in high regard at Free Republic.

There are several references to their hero in this thread. Here's one:

To: sweet_diane

"...How much good did that guy do McVeigh?...."

McVeigh didn't stand a chance to stay alive...he was railroaded. Had he sang like a canary and revealed his "colleagues", he may have had a chance to survive.

On the other hand, his "colleagues" probably threatened to kill his entire family if he sang. He chose death.

The best lawyer in the world couldn't prevent what happened to McVeigh because the Clinton Administration wanted that boy dead, period.

1. Oh, fuck me. That is the most depressing thing I've read in years.
That some lower-than-pond-scum piece of shit could DEFEND the bastard who comitted the second-worst terrorist attack on American soil, and furthermore, blame CLINTON?

That asshole should have his citizenship revoked.

Excuse me while I go vomit.

2. But... But...
I thought democrats all universally Opposed the death penalty? So why would Clinton kill him?

And I thought Democrats were soft on terrorists? So why would Clinton bother?

And I thought that we are supposed to want all terrorists dead? So why wouldn't the Freepers want McVeigh dead?

7. He wasn't a terrorist to the freeps..........
he was a "freedom fighter". :eyes: Couldn't Bush send this asshole off to Gitmo for the rest of his life without representation now? If Bush gave himself that power he should use it on those bat-shit crazy freeps.

Disgusting pigs! :grr:

3. Clinton Administration wanted him dead? What assholes.
It was Fuckstick's administration that decided that it was okay for the federal government to execute again.

It was Fuckstick's administration that was gungho on killing the guy instead of keeping him alive so that he could offer more information.

it was fuCkstick's administration that was giggling and pissing its pants with laughter about the prospect of putting another mentally disturbed person to death, especially when it helped them politically.

4. Dear Lurking Freepers: Tim McVeigh murdered 168 Americans, including
nineteen children and one rescuer.

Tim McVeigh injured 850 others.

Tim McVeigh took away one parent from 219 children and left 30 others orphaned.

Now: I don't know if what the OP quoted shows that you consider that piece of human filth to be a hero, but you obviously prefer to blame others for what he was.

He was shit. He didn't deserve to die, though. He deserved to rot for as long as he could be kept alive.

If someone like this is truly a hero to you, God help you.

8. So they like a terrorist?
It just goes to show acts of terrorism that kill people and destroy families are fine with them as long as it's their own.

9. I thought McVeigh requested the death penalty...
and waived all appeals. Normally, a death penalty case will spend years on death row. They offed him in a couple of months. He was lower than whale shit.

When Freepworld spins in such a damnable wobbling orbit? Where McVeigh is held in any positive regard, Dems are seen as terrorist protectors and Bush is a hero?

It is harder for me to see myself forgiving these f'ed up freaks than to understand what moves anachronisticly humble Amish to forgive modernity's crazies.
