Winning the battle but not the war... Dem's in '06
What if...
All of the political BS in recent weeks is just a plan to let the Dem's win the battle, they take command of the house and senate in '06. The battle is won but what does the GOP have up it's sleeve?

What if...
From '06 to '08 the GOP leads the country down the wrong path? Politically point fingers at the Dems and their "partisan politics" for the direction our country had headed? Maybe another attempted terrorist attack could have been prevented had those darn Democrats not impeeded Bush... that's the way the GOP could play it.

Personally I think this is a possibility knowing the GOP. Sure there will be some suffering by the poor and middle class but Bush and co. is not about the poor and middle class. His Rich friends will survive and that's about all he cares about. '08 may just be about the direction the country headed as the Democrats took control of congress.

If the Dems take control of the house and/or congress, they need to be more vocal than ever in regards to the direction they would like to see the Country take. If the GOP starts running the mouth about the Dem's partisan politics (perhaps in regards to a bill that has other items in it) the dems need to explain that to the American People.

I'd like to see a swift impeachment of GEE Dubaya but, that goes in the What If files as well.
