Saw an ad tonight, had an interesting twist.

I wonder if anyone else has seen something similar. It was for a local politician, running for state office.

At the end, it gave the candidates name, then said "GOP." The graphic said the same, just "GOP."

Nowhere did it say "Republican," either on audio or video.

Anybody notice this little bit of attempted sneakiness?

Incidentally, this was in Washington State.

1. Local elections are here soon (Missouri)

There are posters up all over town and in yards, but I have not seen ONE that says Republican, even though there are several offices to be filled.

2. Here in No. VA, Repub Tom Davis has removed the word Republican

from his campaign signs. The sign has a large blank area where the word used to be.

I hope other people report on their areas. I wonder if the word "Republican" is now seen as a liability throughout the country.

4. I've noticed the same thing

I travel Kansas a lot and a little of Missouri. Yard signs everywhere, but few are labelled "republican". A few have the little elephant symbol, but it's very small and can't be seen while driving by. Even the scumbag Phill Kline's signs aren't clear that he's a republican.

Republicans should be required to be identified, so we know which signs to paint "LIAR" on. . .

5. Lots of ads on TV here, but there are many

that do not tell you what party they belong to. The dems seem to be straight forward, so I can only imagine those with no party affiliation are repubs.

Just saw an ad for McGavick, trying to unseat Maria Cantwell. Nothing about party. Nothing, not even in the footnote, about being a Republican; just drivel about how he will be the responsible one and how 'family oriented' he is, etc. etc.
