Wes Clark stumps for Ned Lamont (link to video and pictures)
from the official Lamont blog

http://nedlamont.com/blog/1683/rally-w-general-clark-at-uconn">Rally W/ General Clark at UConn

“Ned Lamont will go to Washington, and he will be the key to changing the course in this country.” – General Wes Clark

There was an enthusiasm at UConn earlier today only matched by the days immediately preceding the primary election in August.

Two big differences: the crowd was a bit larger and the weather a bit colder.

Somewhere around 300 students yearning for change filed into the area outside the Student Union to get a glimpse of Ned Lamont and General Wesley talking about Iraq, change in Washington, D.C. and the importance of electing Ned to the United States Senate this November.

I didn't make it to this rally due to work, but looks like it went off well.

1. This should help
I hear Lamont's lagging behind Lieberman so if that's true, hopefully this appearance by Clark will help change that.

2. UConn is treated to leadership
...we really need Lamont to take our message to the beltway. We want leaders. Thanks Larkspur. I'm glad the General and Lamont came together...they both "get it."

3. Thanks for the update Larkspur
I knew Clark planned to campaign for Lamont and I always planned to be there for that event but unfortunately it happened while I am off on a work trip. I really like the line about the rally having the same excitement level as the immediate Pre-Primary Days, because we all know how that worked out for us!

4. hey, thanks for the link...
Looks like one of the Lieberman supporters visited the blog....

"I was there today, and found Wes to be wholly uninspiring and Ned to be rigid and unknowledgable. Lot of puffery from Ned, but not much behind it."...Yeah, right....

5. I like this line
from a dailykos diary about the rally...

"Stay the course doesn't work when you're in a ditch," Clark said and, "Joe Lieberman wasn't the one driving us into that ditch, but he was... kind of supporting the elbow of the driver."
