I love Jon Testor! I am watching the MT senate debate. He is very
honest, easy to understand. Likable. The Libertarian guy Jones) just said Bush should be impeached and ripped the skin of the slimy Conrad Burns.

1. Damn, Broncos playing too. Lots of Montana voters will watch football
and miss Tester/Burns.

2. IMO he's our best new candidate
And he was even better in the first debate I saw. This debate with the third candidate is limiting the back and forth between Tester and Burns. Tester dominated those exchanges when it was one-on-one in the earlier debate.

If we had a slew of Jon Testers I wouldn't care about presidential approval rating or Foley scandals or turnout since I'd be confident the voters would show up to enthusiastically support our guy. As is, we're dependent in too many races with a vote-against mindset and I'm never thrilled with that prospect. I would rather be great than the other side considered very poor.

3. OMG - Tester's closing statement
He really told Conrad what was what. I wish all our Dems could speak like that. Try to find that closing statement on video if you didn't see it, it is really worth seeing.

4. That was his best moment of the debate
I'm glad he went third so it could have lasting impact as the final thing the audience remembers.

Tester even showed strength several times by chastising the audience not to appluad, including during his closing statement. He'd put out his hand and say, "please, I want to get all this in, it's important." You really get the impression, wow, this guy is a force.

Burns appears to have all but given up in ripping Tester, in person if not the commericals. It would be interesting to see how a younger and more competent Republican tried to counter Tester.
