1. If you were a bona fide loathsome prick like Allen...
...you'd hope people weren't voting based on character, too.

3. He's right. The issue is he's a bigot.
Edited on Tue Oct-10-06 01:50 PM by AndyA
There is no room for bigotry in the world today. None. Everyone is equal. Period. No exceptions.

So yes, Allen is right. Vote on the issues. One of them is that he's a small minded bigot. Not what we need representing THE PEOPLE, because THE PEOPLE are black, white, male, female, gay, straight, etc. And all must be represented EQUALLY.

So please do vote on the issues.

4. So make his character the issue
Make the character of all the republican party the issue. These bastards ran on the Moral standards and having family values. None of which true as time is proving.

Yeah, vote on the issues what ever they be, no republican candidate has the upper hand on ANY issues from family values, to the economy, to National Security.

7. The “Moral Majority,” avoiding character analysis?
Indeed, George Allan’s racial insensitivity is certainly not a recent sentiment, but a facet of his character; further, indeed the recent illumination of Allan’s character flaw is essentially “political.” Questions have been raised to this extent: why has Allan’s previous statements only recently been illuminated, causing many to question the “bias” of the charges being leveled against him? The answer is undeniable; Allan has been lofted to the status of 2008 Presidential candidate, thus, the rules of the game change dramatically. A situation such as this, call’s for the “cleaning of skeletons;” the scale for which Allan would be governing is exponentially increased, the President becomes the face of the United States, thus, everything matters.

One’s vote on the issues, are indeed reflections of their character.

9. Funny how their thinking has evolved since
they went after Clinton...when character was everything and brains and policy were nothing of importance! My, how times have changed!
