Dean in Portland tomorrow rallying Democrats.
http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=74505

"Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean will join Governor Ted Kulongoski and leading Oregon Democrats for a rally at the Montgomery Park Building in Portland at 5:00PM on Wednesday, October 18. Dean and Kulongoski will be joined by Oregon Senator Ron Wyden, Congressman Earl Blumenauer, Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Castillo, and other leading Oregon Democrats.

With Oregon ballots beginning to be mailed to voters on October 20, Dean will emphasize Governor Kulongoski's record of accomplishments for Oregon's working families and encourage activists to participate in the Oregon Democratic Party's turn- out efforts.

Who: DNC Chairman Howard Dean, Governor Ted Kulongoski, Senator Ron Wyden, Congressman Earl Blumenauer, Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Castillo, and other leading Oregon Democrats

What: Oregon Democratic Party GOTV Rally
When: Wednesday, October 18th at 5 PM
Where: Montgomery Park Building, 2701 NW Vaughn St., Portland, OR -- For press credentials contact Marc Siegel at 503-239-8669."

I think the tickets are only 10 or 15 dollars, and I heard somewhere they stay in the state.

1. Thanks! Wish I could go!
I'm worried about Kulongoski. Saxton, the Repub. challenger, has more $$ and I believe is slightly ahead or tied in polls. The stupid major newspaper, The Oregonian, endorsed Saxton. Oregon's governor's race may be one dark spot on this election. :( We haven't had a Repuke gov. for 24 years -- we don't need to start now of all years!

:kick:

7. goober saxton
I will hurl if that constipated conservative saxton gets more votes
I know the race is extremely close, this will help out at this fundraiser.
We need to have every single Dem vote here in Oregon, every single one.

2. I've got my ticket!
They were only $10 presale, but they'll be $15 at the door. If anyone's interested in meeting beforehand, speak up. I was planning to have dinner at the New Old Lompoc before the event.

6. He said on TV that he would.
But he hasn't yet. However I wonder if the new consultants sent by Hillary and Reid would advise it. One of the ways some people marginalize Dean is by not asking him to the state. Or even like in the case of one candidate...telling him NOT to come.
