I was listening to Bill Clinton give a speech at Georgetown this morning (he's still giving it...the coverage has stopped).
I was nearly chocked up to listen to him speak. He is so eloquent. He can say more in one sentence then Bush can say in a whole paragraph.
He is speaking about philosophy vs. ideology. it is simply an amazing speech that draws clear the differences between the parties and the current administration's way of thinking.
Seriously...it nearly brought to tears to my eyes. It is a stark reminder of how far we have slipped from a "reality based" government.
...I just wanted to mention this. Is anyone else watching him?
What a wonderful speech and Clinton was just getting warmed up. Loved the part about philosophy being different from ideology. Maybe C-Span will have it later. Let`s hope.
to MSNBC. Turned it off when they stopped his speech to bring in a couple of "pundits" to discuss the speech without hearing the entire thing. What a crock of SHIT!!! Then came Wesley Snipes, because the country is clamoring to know how he's doing.
No notes...totally off-the-cuff. And he is absolutely brilliant! I think it must have been basically the same speech. Did he talk about coming from an alcoholic family and spending his childhood trying to find reality and now that he has he wants to stay in it? Awesome!
It's so sad how far down the "brainpool" we've come with this current President.
was great. MSNBC is as shallow as the others. I give them credit for carrying Olbermann. Aside from that, they all suck. They would not know what news was if it bit their nose off.
...until MSNBC interrupted it. I also checked CSPAN, thinking maybe someone was showing it without the commentary but apparently MSNBC is the only ones who aired it.
Still, he made some good points. Surely Olbermann will talk about it tonight.
C-Span. Then at the last minute, it was announced that they were having technical problems and would tape the speech and play it later on the C-Span networks. They'll probably show it in the middle of the night.
