Philly Inquirer's 10-18-06 p. A5 article about Duke Cunningham...
...did not mention his party affiliation at all. The only partisan mention referred to was the intelligence committee's top Democrat, a word found within 18 word of the phrase:
two contractors who in turn paid him millions in bribes. As in:
Report: Legislator got millions in panel post

Cunningham, now in prison, got work for two firms and received bribes, the study said.
By Katherine Shrader
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - Disgraced former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham parlayed his seat on the intelligence committee into at least $70 million in business for two contractors who in turn paid him millions in bribes, an investigator hired by the panel has concluded.

The investigator's report, released yesterday by the committee's top Democrat, found that Cunningham had exploited weaknesses in the system for monitoring secret federal spending.

Here's the article:
http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/nation/15784013.htm

The point is that it appears as though the paper intended to conceal the fact that Cunningham is a GOP'er.

As disgusting was an article in the Inquirer on 10-17-06 detailing the problems faced by the GOP in the upcoming election. All of the GOP members listed and shown in photos had either resigned, been charged or were serving time. The photos at the article's beginning, however, began with Rep. Jefferson, a Democrat. The article, toward its end, made mention of the fact that Jefferson has not yet been charged with a crime. How can articles associate proven instances of corruption (i.e., those instances where resignation have occurred, where time is being served or where prosecutors thought enough evidence exists to bring charges with a situation where no charges have been brought. I wish I could find the link; I do have the hard copy paper at home.

1. it's called spin, and hoping the public is so damned stupid that
they will automatically associate the dems with the sins of the repukes. I have noticed that WHENEVER a politician's affiliation is not mentioned in connection with some scandal or other wrongdoing, that it is always a repuke.

3. Welcome to the new Inqui.
It joins the rest of the jaundiced rags Wash.Times, Denver Post, NY Post, etc.
Print news is dead. It's been bought and paid for by fat white men.
