The reason I will be voting next Tuesday
I will be casting my vote in one of the most conservative areas of Texas where there are very few Democrats running and the ones that are running are not going to win. However, I will be voting because I want to be part of the revolution that is about to take place. I want to tell my two year old son one day about the day we took our country back and how daddy was part of it.

I have always taken pride in past votes. It is the greatest feeling in the world to tell someone that you voted for Clinton, Gore and Kerry and if the latter two had become president, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in today.

I have gone through several stages after the last two presidential elections. First: just plain shock, followed by anger. Over time as things went very badly in our country for six straight years I became bitter and cynical.

On November 7th, Democrats get to feel three emotions:

1. Hope for a better tomorrow

2. Validation that we were right all along. We always knew it but now many of those that voted republican in the past are realizing it also.

3. Vindication- ah sweet vindication. We will need to bridle this emotion to an extent and make sure that it does not become a distraction in taking care of the daily problems that face this nation. However, it could also serve our newly elected Democratic leaders well if they use it judiciously. We must investigate the corruption and prosecute where laws have been broken. This will be the first step in gaining credibility back on the world stage.

The emotion that we will not feel and have never felt because we are Democrats is regret. Regret is what republicans must deal with on a daily basis. We can only feel regret if we don't participate in the process. They must confront the harsh reality that they controlled everything and they failed. Not because of a few rogue bad apples or circumstance as they would have you believe. They have failed because their ideology is flat out wrong.

So get out there and vote and make an effort to get all your friends to do the same so they can feel the pride in being a revolutionary. If we can all make a commitment to getting at least three conservatives to either switch sides or at least sit this one out as a protest against their party, we can create big enough margins to prevent fraud.

Let the revolution begin.

1. I'll be voting on Tuesday too
I'll be "moshing" once again in my black hoodie. Is it time to break out Eminem's "mosh" yet?

2. I was thinking about wearing my W Worst President Ever T-shirt
Is there some type of election law against that?

I just don't buy the whole all races are local argument. This is a referendum on Bush and the entire Republican party. No Republican should get a pass because they are Republican lite. They will say anything at this point to save their jobs. Some are even invoking Clinton's name to get votes. Throw all the bums out and their failed policies.

3. They would probably
make you cover it up, before going in. My "moshing gear" is a statement to those who have seen the video. It's not overt in any way, just a black "hoodie".
