Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 02:37 PM by SoFlaJet
why CAN'T we play their discusting game? Why must the dems always be the party of morals when it comes to sleaze? I'd LOVE to see us fight back like they fight us. How about a "Why won't George Allen release his arrest records?" ad from Webb?

Feel free to post your own sleazy ad on this wishlist

1. I agree
I don't even think the Webb ad you propose is sleazy. I proposed one for laesch a week or so ago to run against Dennis The Hut that just said, plainly, all of the crimes of omission and comission that Hastert is guilty of. Dunno why they won't do it.

2. I think Allen's arrest record is fair game, but Crist...
that's the sort of thing that can backfire.

There's zero proof he's ever had sex with another man, much less a boy. Allen's police record, on the other hand, can be proven to exist.

12. But isn't that information in his sealed divorce records?
I wasn't aware that he had been arrested.

I think, personally, and with absolutely no migitating facts, that he was indeed an abusive husband. His sister's accounts of his behavior towards her are beyond frightening they are so sick.

11. I've read the article...
what's more, the writer's a good friend of mine, and at one point, I worked for that paper.

even Norman himself admits that his article is based on rumor and innuendo -- rumor that has been double-sourced, but rumor nonetheless. Now compare that to the Allen case, in which documents exist that prove arrest warrants were issued for the Senate candidate.

My point is, while it's certainly possible that Crist is gay:
1) there's no direct evidence that he is
2) even if he is, no one's claiming he slept with an underage man

8. No one knows...
Someone from DailyKos dug up the fact that he had been arrested. I've got a link to it on my blog:

http://blogs.southflorida.com/citylink_dansweeney/2006/10/gop_abandons_us_senate.html

It's in that entry somewhere. I'd post a direct link, but it's taking forever to load Kos for some reason.

Anyway, all we know at this point is that multiple warrants were issued for Allen's arrest. No one knows what they're for. Allen says it's for fishing without a license, but he won't release details, and why the hell should anyone believe him anyway?

7. What is our excuse for not running Foley ads?
Ads that ask "What else are they hiding?"

9. I believe we will be getting more news about
foley and the gop this week and it won't cost the DNC a dime. Some newsmaker over the weekend said there will be more stuff about the issue and it won't be appreciated by republicans. But I do believe he is fair game as is hasert's land deal as is allen's arrest and/or divorce record as is the gop's 1994 pledge to America. "If we don't do the job throw us out." Now that would make a great commercial.

4. Sorry- most DEMS are too frightened to attack them back.

I agree with you that we should have more attacks- but they should be TRUTHFUL attacks- and we cant even do that half the time.

Yes- a "what are they hiding" ad connecting them to Foley or a "what is he hiding ad" about Macacca would be a slam-dunk winner with swing-voters.

BUT- the "strategists" who lost the last 3 elections disagree with you and I.

Let's hope 4 is the charm.

put your fliers between the pages, and then put the papers back in the machine.
