Dean was addressing that old right wing canard that the party of desperation has fallen back to.

All I hear now are republicans telling me I'm gonna be taxed into the poorhouse if the Dems control Congress.
Oh, and Osama will be your new boss come Nov. 8th.

I saw Dean's comments as addressing exactly the tax bullshit.

Sorry Arianna, the guy has to cover all the bases, and this week it's "scary liberal taxes".

Democrats have won on Iraq which is why Bush changed the subject. We can win on economic issues too, as long as address tax cuts. Dean and Rahm are exactly right, while there are still many Democrats keeping the focus on Iraq as well.
