Dobbs Featured New Repug Talking Point "Do You Want To Win"....
meaning in Iraq. This was said by o'Lielly to Letterman, Lynn Cheney to Wolf, etc. As I think about this and this long drawn out war I'm beginning to think that the Dems should turn this right around and ask it back to the Repugs. DO YOU WANT TO WIN?

Looking at the last couple of years as *Co has involved us in this war - it appears that they are doing everything in their power to extend this war and make it last. If they really wanted to win they would have put the number of troops necessary to do it right from the beginning. They would have not fired the Iraqi army. They would have more quickly trained other Iraqi's - remember "As they stand up we'll stand down". Our troops after taking a city (i.e., Ramadi) would have stayed and secured that city and not retreated only for it to be taken again.

Bottom line - it looks like *Co and the Repugs don't really want to win this. And again - they use a Rovian tactic and turn it around on the Dems and say to the Dems - do you want to win?

So the next time this comes up - we need to shoot right back to them and put them on the block.

2. I've used that with repubs followed by
Asking for a definition of "winning" along the lines of saying something like...

In just about every contest there is some measure by which we can say we've won - in sports, it's usually having more points (except golf); in chess, it's when you put your opponent's king in checkmate; in arm wrestling, when you put push your opponent's hand to the table. What's winning in Iraq? We've never been told, and chances are it's probably going to be as fluid as the reasons we went over to Iraq in the first place. So, until we have a good definition of winning, you can stop trying to be clever by thinking you're trapping me with so sophomoric a question. Just because you wouldn't have the brains to answer such a question if you didn't support the war, doesn't mean the rest of us can be fooled by such a lame attempt to make us look bad.

3. Do you want to win?
I'm still hoping the USA ends up winning in Viet Nam. And I think the Iraq cluster fuck is following the exact same path. So we can give up now or we can accumulate enough deaths to put up a pretty decent seized Iraq Wall Memorial in DC in 2029 some time.
