I'm noticing that the RW pundits, i.e. Carlson, Fox, Limbaugh, Beck and many other
right leaners on MSNBC are only talking about the Democratic possible candidates.... There has been little or no interest in the Republic candidates that I can see, not even a mention of McCain falling asleep at the SOTU speech. My feeling is that the Right just knows in their heart they haven't a prayer in '08. They do not talk, at least to my knowledge, about Brownback, not much anymore about McCain, or any of the other Republic possibles. Any thoughts??

2. No I think it's because if they focus on our candidates, no one
will be criticizing their RW candidates. That's the reason they didn't talk about McCain falling asleep. They know they can't repeat over and over what makes their candidates look bad or people might start taking notice. Instead it's better to watch our candidates trip over themselves so they can repeat it over and over to make them look bad. Remember the Dean Scream. I shall never forget nor forgive.

3. Plus it's easier to tear down the other side than try to build up your own,
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 06:54 PM by Phredicles
especially when that would involve trying to hype suck-ass McCain, wife-deserter Gingrich, Sam Brownshirt, et al. That really is an enormous task, and you can see where they wouldn't be up to it.

4. Yes,,,,,,,, one thought.
--- That business about the Right knowing they don't have a prayer in '08? That could be the sort of mindset among democrats which ultimately is their downfall. Over-confidence brought the neocons to their current low point, eh? Let's play this one like a one-run game 'til the last out is made in the 9th, ok?

5. the more they talk about the possible democratic candidates ...
the less they have to talk about bush, his failure, his war that no one wants, the country's call for bringing the troops home ... those are the realities that they do not want to talk about.. they want to give their idealized and idolized god the impression that he is, well, a god that the people idolize.

6. That's the RW plan
Create turmoil and scuttlebutt around the D candidates...
confusing voters... classic fear uncertainty doubt
provide cover for Repukes to get their shit together
and in their wildest dreams.. emerge victorious.

But the truth is they just reflect badly on themselves and
their whole freepin' repuke movement while reinforcing in the
minds of Americans what jerks and bullies these people truly are.

7. It's very simple.
The less known about their own candidates, the better for them. That allows people to project anything they want on them.

8. They know what they are doing - attack, attack, and more attack
that is what they are all about. Very uncomfortable to defend gov't and *. They are about negative attacks and spreading paranoia.

9. I think it's because at this point in the game ...
... no one knows which "GOP presidential hopefuls" will be caught up in the wide-cast nets of the pending investigations.

These same pundits got burned -- big time -- by touting George "Maccaca Boy" Allen as being the probable Republican candidate in 2008. We all know how that turned out. They also prattled on about another likely GOP presidential vote-getter, Rick Santorum. Of course, it turned out he couldn't even carry his own constituents, no less a nation.

After Foley, DeLay, Cunningham, Ney and the rest -- ain't no RW pundit gonna open his big, fat mouth for anyone who might end up being indicted, or otherwise rendered unelectable, for a long time to come.

24 /7- to get us fighting amongst oursleves and tearing each others
favorite candidate down.

"By their fruits shall ye know them."

Never respond to posts which either quote conservative sources,
or which in any manner associate dem candidates to scandals,
dirty tricks, unethical behavior, ruthless campaign tactics, etc.

People, there's only one motive for that-so dont take the bait.
Let those posts die on the vine for lack of response/attention.

15. Because Republican primaries aren't interesting
The party establishment is either going to give their financial backing to Romney or McCain and that will be the end of it. There's no grassroots movement within the GOP that can beat the party. How do you think someone as useless as Bush got the nomination? His father who still had the party establishment behind him raised $50 million for him and McCain simply couldn't keep up (not to mention the John McCain has a black child campaign in South Carolina).

They want to pass the buck of bush's various and countless messes. That's why their possible candidates are as viable as Bob Dole was. Though I can't imagine them having anyone decent, ever, anyway.
