I, for one, am glad it's a matter of public record - Russert is a malleable GOP tool

I mean, I know that I thought that, but so does Dick Cheney according to testimony in the Libby trial.

1. What was the specific testimony? Was it something Cathie Martin said?

4. Doesn't mean he is pro-GOP; he was merely taken advantage of.

6. Yeah, guess that BUSH button he wore on the underside of his lapel at the
2000 Al Smith dinner in NYC was a total fluke, huh?

Gimme a break.

9. And the way he and EVERYBODY ELSE have given these people
in this administration a free pass ACROSS THE BOARD, but would grill the Clinton people within an inch of their lives.

tim russert has blood on his hands. He is a collaborator. I have NO respect for him whatsoever. His bias is BEYOND obvious. He might as well go over to the Pox Noise Channel. He belongs there.

So if there's a sideways attempt to hang some of this on him - "tim russert told ME! I heard it from tim russert!" - and pass the buck to him, I'm delighted if it makes him uncomfortable. He shouldn't be in bed with these people. And if he gave a hard time to the Clinton people, he should have hounding the bush crowd, too. EQUALLY. I'm glad his name is being dragged into this libby mess. Maybe he'll think twice about whoring for these people, since now that the shit is hitting the fan, some of it has hit him, head-on. There's a price for that access, timmy. You sold your soul to the devil. And you can already see how loyal he is.

5. I've been saying for some time that this guy was a total, used, tool
And I am glad this day has come. Jack Welch brought him over to the dark side...and sure, he got stock tips, he was able to invest his bloated salary so his assets became as bloated as his face, he was able to send his stupid kid to BC, buy a fancy house on an island off the Cape, but the bottom line is, how can you ENJOY these things, when the money you pass for these consumer goods is stained with the blood of those who died in a bullshit war?

No matter how much money that bastard accumulates, with his stupid Big Russ books (where the hell are the tributes to the mother who changed his diapers, wiped his stinky fat ass, and fed him and cared for him? I mean, please--is she less "folksy" than Big Russ? I always found that odd, the inability to write a book of praise for his MAMA, when it would have been a Mother's Day bestseller, easily...) ...

Ah, but I digress....no matter how much money that bastard makes, he still has to look in the mirror. And what he sees looking back at him, a soulless, selfish, power-hungry bastard, who at the end of the day, will go down in history as a tiny footnote and a TOOL, has got to make him feel like shit, if he has an ounce of humanity in him. He could have been GREAT, but his career is forever marked by his craven willingness to prostitute himself simply to be close to the throne. How sick. How idiotic of him, too. He has no credibility anymore. No wonder he has been looking like shit. He KNEW this day was coming.

Wonder how long before they dump him from MTP? He's head of the DC political bureau, so it might be an iffy trick...but I'd like to see them toss him on his ass and put DAVID GREGORY in the seat.
