Wes Clark on CSPAN live Fri. 2/2 10AM EST/7AM PST
speaking to the big DNC meeting. If his speech to Nevada Dems. last weekend is any guide, this will be truly inspirational. Maybe even include an "I'm running" announcement. Clark will also be on Hardball in the afternoon.

1. That would be pretty shocking
Edited on Thu Feb-01-07 06:13 PM by jen4clark
to me at least -- if he announced at the DNC meeting. I honestly believe we'll hear in March. And for those who say it's too late, I say all the rest of the crowd is too early.

Here's something O/T I hope you don't mind my entering into this thread:

One of our series groups at CCN, Generation Whatever, has put up the full transcript to General Clark's lecture at UCLA last week. You can read or listen, although I'm not sure the Q&A section at the end is on the audio:

Professor Clark Lecture II: Just War Theory

THIS is the man who should be president. I will do everything I can to make it so!

2. They will also be showing this on MSNBC....but knowing them....
Edited on Thu Feb-01-07 06:29 PM by FrenchieCat
they'll cut away from Clark...since he comes right after Obama....so that they can breathlessly declare what a great speaker Obama is.....meanwhile will they show Clark, before cutting away to Edwards who is speaking directly after Clark.

Why make a sandwich with Two media generated top contenders with less foreign policy experience between them combined than Wes Clark has in his little finger, with Wes in the middle? Clark being someone that the media rarely mentions?

Including Clark would mess up the only three top contenders that has been put upon us by the media. I mean, Clark who? as far as they are concerned.

I'm hoping that MSNBC won't do this, understanding that they most likely will. Assholes!

Cause in this day in time, why would we need to hear from a foreign policy expert who has negotiated peace treaties and won wars, when we can instead hear from senators and former senators who have never led a large coalition of anything.

Damn right I'm suspicious.

3. Ah yes, the good ole days
Kinda like Judy Woodruff turning her back and yakking with some republican the entire time Wes Clark at the Dem. convention.

This is not a problem for the MSM, they've been practicing for years.

4. Yep...so me, I'll be watching C-Span.....
Plus, I don't feel like hearing the Pundit Crap yap as I'm trying to hear what these folks have to say. and when it comes to these mediawhores, you can always bet that they will really try hard to describe what we are watching.

I remember a couple of weeks ago, when they were showing some kind of congressional hearings....and they cut away when it was getting interesting, IMO.

Know what the dumbass bimbo anchor said?..."we'll keep you posted if anything important comes up"....and then they cut away to a group of "Legends in their own minds" pundits talking like they were expert on war or something! Like who in the fuck are they to "keep us posted"....."when something important comes up"? Who decides what's important?

Oh...wait a minute!
Let's just say; not us. :eyes:

8. No Hardball.
Kat posted at CCN earlier today, due to scheduling conflicts General Clark won't be on Hardball tomorrow. I think it's the GD thread before the current one.

DNC Winter Meeting, "Strong Leadership for America's Future" Features Democratic Presidential Contenders

January 31, 2007

The Democratic National Committee will hold its annual winter meeting to highlight "Strong Leadership for America's Future" in Washington, DC from February 1-3, 2007. The meeting will feature presentations from the Democratic Presidential contenders on their visions and ideas for America’s future.

The candidates will join more than 400 DNC members from around the country, DNC Chairman Howard Dean, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to talk about the strong leadership Democrats are providing now in Congress and around the country and will provide in the White House.
The following presidential candidates will speak at the winter meeting: Sen. Joe Biden, Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.), Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sen. Chris Dodd, Sen. John Edwards, Sen. Mike Gravel, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Sen. Barack Obama, Gov. Bill Richardson, and Gov. Tom Vilsack.

"After six years of failed leadership from the Bush Administration, the American people want new leadership in the White House," said Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean. "Our Democratic leaders in Congress are working to make government work for every American, and the talented and diverse group of presidential candidates joining us this weekend are proof that we can bring the same kind of vision, talent and strong leadership to the White House.
