Please kick my thread: Re: looking for signs of the GOP's next move

I started it early this morning when I stayed up to monitor the Flagler tornado weather, then promptly fell asleep once the storm passed over us. Now I'm awake and, though only two people responded to the thread, I think there's a conversation developing that might help to try to figure out how the GOP plans to position themselves now that they're about to lose power once again.

It has to do with leaving backdoors open to government databases, and other dirty tricks.

I think you should post it in GD, not "Environment/Energy" b/c once it falls off the "Latest threads" front page, it probably won't get many more views (unless it makes it to the 'Greatest').

I hope you repost to GD....it's an important topic/question.

3. OMIGOSH! I thought it was on General Discussion!

I was half asleep this morning, keeping one eye on the weather channel to see where the storm was headed and must have hit the wrong button.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It's got five recommendations, so, hopefully if anybody has more info like the poster who gave us info on the Abramoff connection, that would be great.

All the frame houses, leveled. NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION. These are not mobile homes. The aluminium supports are twisted like straws.

That's what they do for a living - look for ways to get around obstacles to their criminal enterprises, so they can go ahead with 'em anyway. As I said over there - the ENTIRE bush administration is a case study in this. It's been their consistent pattern since the beginning.
