CBS refused to air this
Edited on Sun Feb-04-07 11:17 AM by welshTerrier2
We've heard all sorts of whining that the MSM is only showing the "bad things" in Iraq. The first video linked to below, includes this devastating statement from a man in Baghdad the CBS reporter interviewed: "i saw uniformed Iraqi soldiers executing unarmed Iraqi men and shooting two women."

uniformed Iraqi soldiers ...

And bush wants to send more American troops to Baghdad to provide support for the Iraqi army as they go "door-to-door". There is a civil war going on in Iraq and "uniformed Iraq soldiers" are taking sides in that civil war. The result is that unarmed Iraqis are being routinely slaughtered by their own government's soldiers.

here's the first video (about 2 minutes long) ... CBS refused to air the report: http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/main500251.shtml?id=2371456n

And here's a video by a British news team: http://www.youtube.com/v/6nuMAooG6SM ... this one did air on British TV ...

This video actually shows the brutality of Iraqi troops against defenseless civilians and, perhaps more importantly, shows the callous disregard for their actions by the American troops on the scene. What kind of image does such US conduct create among the Iraqis? And while we're on the subject of suppressing the truth and the slanted journalism that results from only allowing "embedded reporters", take special note of the US military officer's demand that the cameras be shut off.

bush and the right-wing are dead right that the American people aren't being told the "real story" in Iraq; it's much worse than we could ever know.

1. Payback time for Iraqis
as the different groups gain power/or weapons, they extract vengence upon each other in a deeper and worsening spiral of violence. That our troops are there, simply watching, is not helping matters, but making it worse. Imagine what it is doing psychologically to those fellows! And they are coming home to no help from the VA, even when they are suicidal.

3. Here is why "Support Our Troops" = don't send them into preemptive war based on lies!!!!!!
"Imagine what it is doing psychologically to those fellows! And they are coming home to no help from the VA, even when they are suicidal."

And why millions of people marched to let the Congress and administration know that WE KNEW the sales pitch for the war was all bullshit.

It was not that long ago (!!!!!!!) that the soldiers from the FIRST BUSH CENSORED GULF WAR came home with extreme health problems and inadequate support. The government denied that Gulf War Syndrome even existed and people are still dying from it.................

The fallout from DU weapons, in bodies and in the ground and water..................................................
