Supporters push Gore to run in 2008 -- interesting news!
CONCORD, N.H. - Veterans of Al Gore's past are quietly assembling a campaign to draft the former vice president into the 2008 presidential race — despite his repeated statements that he's not running.

His top policy adviser from his 2000 presidential campaign and other key supporters met Thursday in Boston to mull a potential Gore campaign. The participants and Gore's Nashville office both said Gore, who is in London, is not involved.

Elaine Kamarck, a veteran of the Clinton White House and Gore's policy guru in 2000, said the meeting was informal and shouldn't be taken as a sign there will be a Gore 2008 campaign.

Chris Mackin, a Boston consultant and Gore supporter, called it "an early stage conversation." But he added: "We're very serious about exploring this."

Hm, so we're not the only ones thinking about it, hehehe.

1. Can he beat Hillary in the primaries? I am thinking of Al. After being
cheated by some of the lowest one-celled brains in the country, I do not want him put through another such horrendous experience. However, I believe that Al can now take the consequences of any result. He has a bigger goal and a more important one so his life has a distinct and distinctive direction. I am for him whatever he decides. He is the man!

2. I hope Gore is at least keeping it in his mind.
I mean look at the lengths his supporters are going to get him to run. He's got a very passionate following, and he shouldn't have a problem raising money and gaining support. He'd be a great anti-war voice, and the best alternative to Hillary Clinton.

If he runs, he wins. Period.

3. If Gore runs and wins...how about a Gore /Clark ticket.?
Especially if he assured Clark he could have a lot of authority regarding the military and foreign policy.

4. He's going slow...but he's open...he doesn't want to go through what Edwards, Obama and
Clinton did before him.

He's putting out very fragile "feelers" to us...as GRASS ROOTS.

We need to get him on the ballot...and if that fails (which it won't) but just saying...if it does...WRITE HIM IN!!!
