can we just go to Google or Yahoo or whatever "search engine of choice is?" Can we not realize that probably thousands of Campaign Ops are out there on the "Internet" hawking and dissing candidates?

This isn't the old "Dial Up" Internet of '04 and '02 or the flegling thing it was even in Selection 2000!

It's all becoming VERY SOPHISTICATED as the "Old Media" discovers the BLOGOSPHERE...and how "Ad Venue" from INTERNETS might just MAKE UP FOR THEIR LOSING CORPORATE WHORE REPORTING.

Let's "Cool it" and do MUCH DILIGENCE with SEARCHES before we get sucked up into frenzies. I'm guilty of the "Disinfo" also in that I read the stuff and reply here on DU. And it worries me that GENUINE CONCERNS about candidates we SUPPORT might be viewed as "Disinfo" and HOW WILL WE TELL THE DIFFERENCE?

If groups of Folks (Paid Ops) manage to do Major Disinfo on Liberal Boards ...how do we seperate the GENUINE COMPLAINTS from the PAID?

I don't know...but it's important to be "VIGILANT." AND...to RESEARCH!

At least for me, seeing a 'Clinton money grab continues' or 'Edwards Do As I Say' type just doesn't advance anything. If one has a favorite at this point, great! Go for it! Promote that person at every opportunity.

But the negative tactics can play right into the hands of the Cons. It wasn't but a very few weeks ago where there was an overabundance of "Obama smokes! He's toast." threads. Now, weeks later I'm seeing on TV a banner beneath an Obama video clip that reads: "Obama To Quit?" It won't be long till we see "Richardson Wants To Lose" with details about a new diet and exercise regimen...probably about the same time he rolls out a plan for universal healthcare. :eyes:

Meanwhile, the Cons quietly skip around the country grabbing dollars for favors from big business, having prayer breakfasts with Falwell and Robertson, and dropping in for a photo-op Snowflake Baby Showers adopted by one man-one woman married couples.
