PLEASE REBUTT THIS SICK COOKIE
PRESIDENT BUSH: Liberals: Stop ignoring the facts
Once again, the liberals have called for impeachment and blame President Bush for all that goes wrong in their lives.

First, impeachment is for illegal activity, not for unpopular activity. The president has done nothing illegal, so forget that.

Next, the reasons for war in Iraq have been validated many times over. The military found and disclosed the weapons of mass destruction (over 500 vials of deadly mustard and sarin gas agents, warheads, etc.) and the documents linking Saddam Hussein to al-Qaida.

Please, tell me why weapons made before 2003 do not count. Does the gun in your home quit firing simply because it was made before 2003? Does your 1999 cash lose its purchasing power but your 2004 cash does not?

Show me the logic in this argument, which is something the liberals just cannot do. Forget that claim.

Now, for the tax cuts. Why do liberals ignore the economic statistics that come from the federal government?

Actual revenue to the government has increased due to the tax cuts. Businesses pay lower tax rates, but they do more business, which means they pay more total tax dollars.

They also raise wages, keep prices stable, hire more employees and increase benefit packages.

We have the strongest economy in over 20 years and the lowest unemployment rate in nearly 40. Higher taxes eliminate those positive things, so scratch that argument as well.

Moving on to the constitutional rights claim: Not once did the administration listen in on any normal citizen's personal phone calls.

They listened in on potential terrorists and, by the way, thwarted plans for seven major attacks on the United States!

The liberal media let the terrorists (forget that insurgent nonsense) know federal monitoring methods, thus aiding and abetting the enemy. That's the real treason!

Finally, the Plame (non) affair: The courts have already publicly declared that Valerie Plame was not a covert agent and that her own husband disclosed her name.

No one has been charged with anything in this noncase. Scooter Libby's only charges are obstruction of justice, and he may even be acquitted for that.

Please, liberals, stop ignoring the facts and get the stories right.

I do not like everything Bush has done, but he has sworn to protect us and make us economically strong. He has done a fabulous job at both!

RAYMOND BUREAU, teacher, Jacksonville

8. Courts have not "publicly declared" anything; Libby is charged with perjury.
Raymond is not a teacher, unless he's referring to the home-schooling of his children. Sometimes his wife, also known as his cousin, teaches them.

19. Where to begin?

First, impeachment is for illegal activity, not for unpopular activity. The president has done nothing illegal, so forget that.

A. Illegal activity include but are not limited to: he ordered violations of FISA and he ordered violations of several international treaties.
B. Impeachment is not just for illegal activity.

Next, the reasons for war in Iraq have been validated many times over. The military found and disclosed the weapons of mass destruction (over 500 vials of deadly mustard and sarin gas agents, warheads, etc.) and the documents linking Saddam Hussein to al-Qaida.

A. The military found what they initially thought were WMDs. Within 24 hours they announced they had been mistaken. If the news source you listen to reported the intial finding, but did not report the latter finding, then I suggest you find another news source.

Actual revenue to the government has increased due to the tax cuts.

A. Revenue initially dropped following the tax cuts. It took several years of inflation and economic growth to start breaking even on an annual basis. We had economic growth before and after the tax cuts. Clearly the mere presence of economic growth proves nothing. The rest is just your opinion. Mine differs.

We have the strongest economy in over 20 years and the lowest unemployment rate in nearly 40.

A. The lowest unemployment rate in nearly OVER 40 years was during the last quarter of 2000. Today's rate, the lowest since just before the current administration took power is still HIGHER than before the current administration took power.

Moving on to the constitutional rights claim: Not once did the administration listen in on any normal citizen's personal phone calls. They listened in on potential terrorists....

A. The only people who are not potential terrorists are those who are too physically or mentally incapicitated to commit acts of terrorism. Unless you define "normal" as meaning "severly incapicitated", this statement is ridiculous.

Finally, the Plame (non) affair: The courts have already publicly declared that Valerie Plame was not a covert agent and that her own husband disclosed her name.

A. Where in the world did you get that?!? The courts have most certainly done no such thing. Someone has been playing you for a sucker. As mentioned previously, you appear to have stumbled upon an extremely dubious news source. I suggest you look for alternatives.

He means white people. Even those who would conspire to blow up federal buildings, killing innocent people and children inside. As far as this guy is concerned, that's ok because they're normal.

25. Then why was Clinton impeached over a blow job? That was NOT an illegal activity, or governmental..
That's what I'd like to know.

Impeachment is not just for crimes - it has been used mainly for political purposes - anything a majority of Congress critters says it can.

Impeachment is just the ACCUSING one of something, not the CONVICTING one of something. On that score, Clinton was EXHONERATED and NOT CONVICTED on the REPUKE trumped up charges...

20. The indictment on Libby. Raymond Bureau's e-mail.
First, the 22-page indictment:

Obstruction of justice, false statement, two counts of perjury.

Contact info for Raymond Bureau. I'm assuming it's the same one.
