In his recent speech, Presidential candidate Mike Gravel said, “Our nation is in crisis. This crisis is greater than most people realize, and in some ways more significant than terrorism and the Iraq war.” Indeed, we have a crisis in
- The lack of responsible mainstream news media,
- Public understanding of why we attacked Iraq,
- Public understanding of 9/11/2001,
- Public understanding of basic economics sufficiently to know that
- Capitalism is failing,
- The dollar has no guarantee of value,
- The middle class is disappearing – and becoming mostly poor,
- And private bankers control the agenda of governments – including ours,
- Which has resulted in complete systemic corruption of our political system.
And there is more, but the above is plenty to swallow. Most of us are familiar with personal crisis happening in our families. These crisis are often connected with health care and lack of funds and insurance – and jobs.
Details of these many crisis have been documented in articles by me and others such as in
Selecting a President. Even Wall Street investors
such as Craig Harris are seeing the signs of the collapse of capitalism. For more on the above issues, search out articles by my name.
We have had a Constitutional crisis since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was created unconstitutionally as documented by Aaron Russo's movie
AMERICA: Freedom to Fascism. Now there is a secret plan to merge the USA, Canada, and Mexico into an “American Union” similar to the European Union (documented in the American Free Press Jan. 29th issue). This would shred the US. Constitution permanently.
Henry Ford once made the comment, “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”
“The constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper!” - George W. Bush, Nov. 2005
(an hour and 13 minutes into Russo's movie)
Since our political system is
CONTROLLED by private financial interests, who also control which politicians we see the most, what can we do to save ourselves?
Craig Harris has made a personal decision to ride out the time we have left before chaos ensues. His reasoning is that the bankers who run things will try to stretch this out as long as they can. Of course they will; they are absorbing our wealth from us and printing more worthless dollars for us in return. But can we afford to wait for eventual chaos? Who will take control when chaos happens?
Aaron Russo recommends massive civil disobedience to force Congress to act in our behalf. There is a much easier way to regain control of our government and to save the Constitution. We, the people, outnumber those in power by the millions; all we need to do is to make a statement of
our power! We can do that by enacting the
National Initiative for Democracy!
Then by ballot initiative we can repeal the Federal Reserve Act and stop this outrageously immoral military expansion for empire. Then we can rebuild our infrastructure and set an example to lead the world to a future of peace.
