When will Congress vote on the Iran War Resolution?

How many senators and representatives do you think will cave to political pressure out of fear of looking weak on national security?

1. The fear is that Shrub will do it anyway without Congress
There are bills from Walter Jones and the members of the Progressive Caucus to require that authorization.

The fact that they want to do it without Congress tells me the Cheney administration is worried they wouldn't get a strong enough yes vote

2. The Bush regime claims that Iraq War Resolution gave them the authority to go after
states that sponsor terrorism. This may explain the recent PR blitz about Iranian markings being found in weapons and munitions used by Iraqi insurgents.

Since the Democratic Congress has taken impeachment off the table, there is nothing to prevent Bush from attacking Iran. Congress needs to put impeachment back on the table. They should read Elizabeth de la Vega's United States v. George W. Bush at al,." to see the basis for the criminal prosecution of Bush and his criminal gang.

If we want to stop Bush, we just gonna have to remove him and Cheney out of power. It's that simple!

3. They might not even bother
The whole clause in IWR that gives them the power to act as they see fit is enough to them most likely. I hope to the Gods that there is a way to stop them.

4. The House will try to get the Iraq thing through this week
If the House passes a resolution on the Iraq surge, will the Senate still need 60 votes, or a majority? If they can do that, then maybe the 'Iran' binding resolution could follow.
