Congress has to tell Bush that his "word" is no good
--- The Bush administration has placed itself at a severe disadvantage in the dispute over Iranian weapons allegedly being used in Iraq. Their credibility is now shot,.... gone,... nonexistent. Bush has been caught in so many lies already,...or else he has been wrong so many times,... and to top it off, we know that he has "motive" to lie in this instance, as well.

---So when the Iranians deny any weapons accusations, America is left looking at two different lying, devious groups of political and religious extremists,... and neither deserves an advantage over the other. Bush gets no benefit of the doubt. He has squandered the advantage of being the American president. Pulling rank, or claiming the high ground are no longer among his options. Not that he ever had any "moral authority," but if he did, then it's gone now.

--- And this is a dangerous situation for the US. We need to be able to trust and believe our chief executive. The democratic congressional majority needs to make this point before the American people,... and to do so in the least "polite" terms possible.

1. They could read the Downing Street Memos into the congressional record
from the floor of the House or Senate... as a start.

4. Not done yet?
That should have been done when the information was first known. I am surprised.

2. Yes, the trust can't come back.
It's like if someone had told you three times "Come over here. Trust me, I won't punch you in the face" and each time they punch you in the face. If they keep saying it eventually you'll figure out to get the hell away from them or call the police.

3. Why won't congress address the threat to Iran?
Along with being against the surge in Iraq, the lies about Iran should be debated

5. I accidentally watched some network news last night
and a couple of senators and congressmen were basically saying that, except they were (typically) dancing around the crux of the matter. I started yelling at the TV - "SAY THE WORDS! He lied to us about everything else!"

I switched the channel after about 5 minutes. :grr:

The only thing that's going to get this bastard impeached is a presidential blowjob. Somebody just do it, the world depends on you, whoever you are.....
