Words I would love to hear some candidate say.
On 'On Point' on NPR this morning there was a discussion on whether Mittens Romney was electable because he was a Mormon. During the lead in they played a clip from JFK giving his speech confronting the religious issue. In JFK's case the issue was whether or not a person could be president and Catholic. The clip included the line from JFK:
"I believe in the absolute separation of church and state."
Lordy, lordy, wouldn't I love to hear one future president of either stripe say that today.

1. You and me both....
JFK had to say that because then there was a concern over the church interfering with our government. In this day and age it's the other way around, so many want the churches to interfere in our government. I just don't get it.
