1. Wow! She really put her foot in her mouth IF she said that.
I agree that invoking 9/11 as a rationalization for the IWR is beyond contemtible.

They were unrelated and she could only be trying to appeal to the most ignorant voters with that-at the expense of truth.

Shameful and yes, to quote the article, straight out of Cheney's playbook -IF TRUE.

5. Both New York senators voted for IWR. Both.
And 9/11 was pretty much the rationalization for everything happening in New York. Everything. You really think there was even a minute it wasn't on our minds?

They were dealing with a carefully manipulated perception. Fully supported by the media.

But thank you for your concern.

9. I'm from NY too!
I don't need the lecture.

Thanks for YOUR concern.

But I don't care to have a POTUS that can't think past media misdirection.

6. Did she?
She said the IWR vote came up when she was still dealing with the aftereffects of 9/11. What part of that is not true?

10. The part that isn't true is the linkage between Iraq and 9/11.
There was NO LINKAGE. Ever. None.

What part of THAT isn't true?

3. It may be to the ultimate advange of Dems
To get a candidate with these kinds of issues out of the race now.

I'll back Hillary if she's nominated, but her supporters need to stop acting as if she's just ENTITLED to the nomination.

30. I won't even back her then. I'll *vote* for her if I must, but I will never back her.
The 2004 election was my time to say Anybody But Bush. But not 2008. I'm sorry, Hillary is only a viable alternative to a Republican, not to any other Dem candidate IMHO.

Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 07:09 AM by AtomicKitten
... any more or less noteworthy than the others.
IMO all 28 Senators that voted yes on the IWR were dumbasses. All of them.
And their explanations lame. All of them.

14. Does Arianna have an A Game? Or is this more of her A, B, C, D, Game?
What is sad- Arianna only has ONE mouth to speak from at a time-

Arianna's love of symmetry would indicate a preference for 2 mouths where there is one..
And two more mouths adjacent to where there is none..

her sex. We should take pity, perhaps?

Besides, as a convert to the left, she seems ok - most of the time

but I agree with you - I never can predict where on any given issue, on any given person, she will throw her support.

It is like one of those 2 on one fights in a family where the makeup of the "two" constantly changes.

will will eventually lead you to become figurative ROAD KILL. :wow:

Take a damn stand HRC as well as own up to your past mistakes. That's not weak, but sound leadership.

18. Look at the credibility of the Source..
Even the KURDS gave Huffinton a Spanking for her way off the mark statements..
Huffington is notorious for outrageous headline making statements.

It doesn't do anyone any good to fall so easily for gullible crap-
Especially when Huffington is disliked by both sides of the aisle because
guess why--- She won't take a STAND! Talk about hypocritical statements!

Just my 2 cents but there's always an excuse and she does NOT ever admit that she has made a mistake. Don't we already have a shamelessly arrogant leader in the WH?

No surprise...took Hillary's AP statements out of context...and ignored the numerous statements she has made saying exactly the opposite...including in her floor statement

I liked Huffington better when she was still a Republican!!

27. If 9/11 is the rational, why invade Iraq?
Luckily we had FDR and a coherent Congress in 1941.
With today's politicians, the US would have declared war on Mexico and blamed Pearl Harbor.
