What makes anyone think there wil be a 2008 election as Bush expands his kingdom

According to Tom Teepen - Atlanta Journal and Constitution – “President Bush has issued an executive order requiring that federal agencies, which set and enforce the regulations for environment protection, public health, civil rights and other concerns, must install a political overseer to make sure the agencies toe the White House’s political and doctrinal lines”.

1. There'll be one.
And we're going to win it, too.

Woe is the Republican on the ballot who has to defend 8 years of George W. Bush's "accomplishments."

5. It is important to maintain the facade of democracy.
Even stalin had elections. They will not abolish elections. The mechanisms of control are far more sophisticated than that.

in 2002, 2004 and 2006, despite many hysterics claiming they would be canceled.

10. Not this again.
For the love of pete, remember the 2006 elections and the predictions that they'd be cancelled or that the repukes would rig it so they held the majority? Bush will not cancel the 08 elections. You vest in him more power than he actually has.

11. I never predicted he would cancel the 2006 elections but times are changing every day.
Bush really should not be in the WH right now, but he is and he working behind the scenes every day to retain his hold on the country.

12. Here's a possiblity
The coup d'etat began with the 2000 stolen election. Then the 9/11 terrorist attack was meant to finish the job. But the fourth plane that was meant to hit the Capital Building went down in Pennsylvania. What to do? Declare martial law anyway? The extreme right-wing shadow government was ready and waiting. Bush flies around for hours on Airforce One while Cheney debates. Decides too risky no politicians killed. Quick plan B. Do the anthrax bit to discombobulate politicians and press until they get their lies in place. Then the stolen 2004 election (Ohio). So if they are desparate and evil enough they will finish off the Capital Building with a dirty bomb, killing all the troublesome Dems and a few Republicans (Ron Paul for sure)and then declare martial law. Halliburton has built lotsa comfy places for you guys somewhere in your country if you don't like it. So my bet is they take out the Capital Building and frame the Iranians for it. Kills all the difficult Dems and gets the American people on line. And the MSM willl back them to the hilt as usual.

I swear with this already. The '06 election didn't get stolen(although there were a few snags in Florida)we have good candidates in 2008 and we will win!!!
