Chuck Todd Becomes NBC Political Dir. - Isn't he RWingnut?
Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 03:39 PM by RamboLiberal
Isn't he a RWingnut?

Now we know Elizabeth Wilner's replacement: "Chuck Todd has been named NBC News Political Director, effective March 12, 2007."

Based in D.C., Todd will also serve as an on-air political analyst for NBC and MSNBC.

Todd is the EIC of The Hotline. "As for my Hotline and National Journal associates, this is a bittersweet moment for me but thanks to our partnership, I won't be straying too far," he says.

2. He was tight with the Gingrich crowd in the 90s.
Don't know if his marriage mellowed him or not, but being employed by GE will jerk him back further to the right.

3. Todd is a good guy, very balanced
I like him. He doesn't engage in pettiness like some of the other talking heads do.

6. He spouts the conventional wisdom for the most part.....
being on GE's payroll and attempting to prove that his wife's Democratic affiliations don't reflect on his ability to be "objective" will most likely move him further into the "just say what we say to say" column.

This means that he is leaving "Hotline"...which is a publication that more or less caters to the Washington Insiders by providing the CW Washington Buzz.

This is not an exciting development and I don't see anything changing due to it. Just more of the same.
