6. THEN PROPOSE ONE, ALREADY!!!
And I'm not singling out Kerry, either. But as more of our seasoned Senators join the race, it would seem that between Dodd and Biden, not to mention Kucinich in the House, there's enough grit, tenacity, eloquence, and importantly, numbers, to make a valid binding resolution a possibility. I'm not trying to dog anyone's candidate here at all, as all of the candidates I mentioned have outstanding credentials and credibility, but as the glut of candidates grows, and Senate is unable currently to even pass a non-binding resolution, these guys need to realize that they do have the power to stop this war. Demographics and charts be damned, the Democrats were elected to, among other things, stop this damned war. If Biden, Dodd, and Kerry worked together, possibly with a few Republicans (Yes, Chuck Hagel, I am looking in your direction), this can be a reality, as can impeachment hearings.

9. They have. Kennedy has proposed one a few weeks ago.
Endorsed by Kerry, and half a dozen other senators.

4. "disastrous" to act like imperialists in Iraq---US should announce no permanent bases
Leverage stakeholders to compromise---won't happen at mouth of a gun barrel...our soldiers are trapped by political stalemate.
