Fossella (R-NY) bloviating about 9/11
Do the last five years of repeated failures to establish a link between 9/11 and Iraq mean anything to these freaks?

1. Fossella is a jackass. A viable candidate can take his seat in '08
Conditions-
Must be italian, have a NY accent and be from a blue collar background. And must steer clear of photo ops with Al Sharpton.

3. I agree completely.
Steve Harrison met none of those requirements (other than staying away from Sharpton, which I believe he did) and was woefully underfinanced, but he had Vito sweating.

4. I spent most of my life in that district and know those people.
They are hardworking democrats but are hugely suspicious of their fellow dems across the bay. This is what leads them to vote Republican. They need a centrist fellow blue collar italian who does't sound like an academic who they can relate too.

5. So you lived in Staten Island, huh.
I live "across the bay" in Bensonhurst. If I were maybe 15 years younger, I'd think about it myself, since I'm italian and not an academic, at least in appearance and voice.

7. All right!
Keep me posted, via pm, OK? If I can help get rid of Vito, it would be great.

Sounds like you are a vet, and Vito loses a lot of his pomposity when a vet is criticizing him... he's a phony and not very smart, with a lot of baggage.

8. I will and I fit all of the prerequisites...
Vet, Italian, heavy NY accent, can be conservative on some issues. We'll see if I can get the DCCC on board

9. I'm a vet also (Vietnam) so maybe I can help in that way.
I don't have Dem connections or much $$$, but maybe I can help anyway.

Good luck.

2. Why Let the Facts Get In the Way?
One-third of our country would prefer to believe the rhetoric, no matter how ludicrous it may be in light of the facts.
