I am meeting Dennis Kucinich tomorrow.
He is going to be in CT and I have been invited to a private residence where he will be prior to his public visit. I hope to interview him and grab a few pictures too. Is there anything you think I might ask of him? What whould you say? I will report back in this post after the visit.

FYI: He will be at the Silver Star Diner in Norwalk at 5pm.

Regards,
Kevin

1. What are the chances of Real campaign finance reform?
What should be done about the 527s?
What can we do about churches campaigning for candidates?

11. I like his stand on the issues very much.
Please, I'd like to know -

1. Does he have a strategy to get the nomination?
1a. What is it - at least, the parts he can share without blowing the strategy?

I, truly am not being snarky, unlike the poster above me.

I do however, have a rather cynical view of the campaign/election process and so I know he requires a plan to get the money, (the 'right' kind of ) face time and subsequently, the nomination.

Please, tell me he has a plan to win the nomination AND the presidency for if he does, I can finally get wholeheartedly behind a candidate for the first time in many years.

(Yeah, I know, it's all about me)

:hi:

I'd like to get behind him too so I will ask him. Face it though, even if he doesn't have a plan just the fact that he is in the race means that topics that should get some daylight will.He will ask tough questions and make statements none of the the other Candidates have balls enough to say or state.

13. Thank you!

I agree that he'll get the issues out there. But the thing is, I'd like to get someone who's familiar with those issues, actually in a position where they can have some serious impact on the issues. And since the republicans are setting up the 'unitary executive' position *chuckle*...well, just think of the possibilities of President Kucinich, Unitary Executive.

I think I'd better edit this to be more clear - I'd  with glee and a bit of schedenfreud at republicans getting what they wish. :D

14. I just read that Kucinich will join others in the Nevada Democratic Forum on 2/21 ...

The first Democratic Debate is coming up February 21 in Carson City Nevada. The debate is sponsored by The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and hosted by George Stephanopolous.

16. I would say:
"Thank you for your service. I supported you with everything I had in '04, and you have my support now."

I'm clear about his positions on all the issues of import to me. I might talk to him about what's happening with his campaign and organizers. I might ask him what strategies the campaign will use to get past the media bias, and what his supporters can do to help.

21. Ask who his campaign manager is
and how often he personally makes phone calls to raise money from major donors. I think those are important questions, given what happened in his last campaign, and no one in the corporate media will bother to ask him anything at all.
