1. No one cares.....
His poll numbers and his buzz are not high enough to merit attention. Wes Clark will not be given his due until he announces that he is not running, similarily to the Treatment of John Kerry! :sarcasm:

3. And then everyone will ask - where was he? Why didn't he run?
We could have beaten McCain or Guiliani if only Wes Clark had been the nominee.

Sigh.

7. No, you should post Wes' activity.....
I was being sarcastic based on the fact that not one poster had commented on your OP....

Of course, Wes' activities are to be commended....

I just don't believe that his activities will be noticed, less alone appreciated. :(

9. I was just kidding you Frenchie..
I understood your post...I was answering back humorously! I appreciate and love ALL your posts, and don't you give up either! I didn't have it posted to long!
This is his Second Invitation in the past 6 mo. by INVITATION, to speak to these Leaders, because of his status of RESPECT, Worldwide.
I wanted people to know, that his objectives are to meet with World Leaders, to build diplomatic relationships, that will bring America's respect back.
After Bush is GONE!! I don't think the people hate Americans, AS MUCH, as they do this ADMINISTRATION.

Thanks for posting...I am with ya!

10. I brought Clark up at last weeks MoveOn meetup
About 10 attendees, half on the fence about Hillary (our senator), about half pining for Gore to jump in, a couple of folks spoke up for John Edwards. I brought up Wes Clark, his brilliance and his military experience (we had just watched "The Ground Truth") but only one person 'heard' me. She said, I heard he's kind of flaky? I asked her "in what way is Gen. Clark flaky?" and she said she didn't know, but that's what she heard. I asked where & she couldn't remember... I directed her to his website where she could read his writings and hear his speeches. He's not in the race yet, but he belongs at the problem solving table along with the other thinkers of our nation. I'll vote for any of them, depending on who gets the nomination, but Wes can flip red states to blue. IMHOP

13. Could David Broder have been right?
Could there have been a grain of truth in what he said about Democrats (we know it is not all Democrats) not giving a rip about duty, honor, country? Not giving a military man a chance to be heard?

I have met them myself. For some reason some Democrats think a Clark presidency would be all about the Military Industrial Complex. It would all be about wanting to go to war. This, despite the fact that it was the current chicken-hawk civilians who got us into this war and the Democrats and Republicans in office, afraid of being perceived as weak, were the enablers. People in the military are on record for warning against the invasion.

The irony is that Clark is the ONLY one who ever speaks about DOING something about the MIC!

I am convinced there is a bias against the military among some Democrats and they are biased against General Clark, no matter how progressive he is. They refuse to hear him out. They don't give a flying fig that he warned us against this hellish war. He's a GENERAL....they can't get passed it. And the hell with Washington and Eisenhower as well.

16. Yes, among SOME Dems, Broder was right.
I have had several "heated debates" with people who devalue Clark because he was career military.

18. I don't understand the resistance, either
But I'm afraid I'd choke before I could call David Broder correct. Clark is a leader who has served well in the past and deserves a chance to serve again. American needs his help.

20. When and If Wes Clark decides to RUN...
He will have a message, and a stategic plan in place to confront ALL these military questions. He will also have a message to the American People that will view him as the expert he is, in resolving the Iraq issues, backed up by International support, from those who he has great respect for this man.
If WKC, can write the Dayton Accords, plan stategy for winning a war in a matter of weeks, HE can ALSO, write a plan for an election campaign, that will not involve TONS of $$, BUT speak to the people, and their concerns. Once people hear him, see him, shake his hand...they will know the value of this man...He is a People Person, who loves and serves his country. Nothing phoney about him.

12. That's what I like to see! Wes is so respected world wide.
Why the hell can't Americans realize this and draft the man? He's the only one that can restore our prestige around the world. Why doesn't everyone realize this...it's so frustrating!

14. I think when he announces
His support will grow like a tidal wave, this man has honor above all in washington, this will cut through both parties as well the support of our family members in the military.

17. Did they do a charisma test for the attendees?
"They are all influental global figures..."

Why the hell would we want a President with this reputation?

A person who could negotiate our way out of Iraq with his knowledge of the region & the players?
