DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the same Party that continuously voted to decrease the pay, pension and health benefits of the military have to start explaining how they Support the Troops?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN some yahoo is videotaped in a snowdrift yelling, “So much for that global warming theory”, and everyone actually realizes he’s an idiot?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN people want to know why the government is asking questions about that $20 receipt for cabfare you wrote off on your income tax return, but they don’t care about the few billion or so that disappeared in Iraq?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the public notices that while Republicans question the patriotism of people like Murtha, Clelland and Kerry, they're still applauding the military service of people like George “AWOL” Bush and Dick “Five Deferments” Cheney?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the same party that has run up an historic national debt still hold themselves out as the party of fiscal responsibility - and nobody's buying it?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the same people who couldn’t shut up about Iraq suddenly don’t want to talk about it – at all, ever – SHUT UP ABOUT THAT?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN a president opines on a report focused on the most important issue the country faces and says, “It was so important, I actually read it” … and the fact that he (allegedly) read it makes international headlines?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN you realize that a guy who thinks the internet is a series of cloggable tubes is lauded by your political adverseries -- along with a guy who thinks global warming is a scam to up the ratings of TV weather channels?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the same people who tell you how they can handle the disaster of a dirty bomb going off in a major US city can’t handle the disaster of a major US city being inundated with water?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN a good Christian evangelist talks about assasinating a foreign leader and the peaceful message of the Lord – all in the same TV broadcast?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN Barack Obama is confused with Osama bin Laden over, and over, and over again – and it’s passed off as a wacky coincidence each and every time?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN a same-sex couple want to have a baby and it’s everybody’s business, except when it’s the VP’s daughter, when it suddenly becomes nobody’s business?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the MSM can’t talk enough about the implications of Anna Nicole Smith’s death, but can’t talk at all about the implications of Scooter Libby’s trial?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN Al Gore gets nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, and some people are outraged that Rush Limbaugh got overlooked?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the folks that owned the Success in Iraq remembered they were never really that into it when it turned out to be the Dismal Failure in Iraq?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN FOX premiers a satirical news show and their audience can’t tell the difference between their fake news and their real news?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN official spinmeister Tony Snow can’t make any more sense out of a Bush speech than Bush can?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the last word on Iraq just happens to come from the last mililtary expert who’s willing to agree with the Administration?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the Democrats are finally in a position to ask questions – and after years to think about it, the Republicans still don’t have any plausible answers?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the Dixie Chicks win a Song of the Year Grammy, and never had to resort to putting a boot up someone’s ass (even though we’d been told that’s the American way)?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN you drive down a US highway and notice that the worn-out “W” stickers have been covered over with “Impeach-Indict-Imprison” stickers?

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN the fastest way to find the latest statement by Bill Kristol or Ann Coulter is to GOOGLE the phrase “comedians - political”.

DON’T YA JUST LOVE IT WHEN Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are considered the voices of America and the voices of Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle are relegated to the Where Are They Now files?

Damn,these last six plus years have been hard.The days following 911 were especially hard. Between the horror visited upon beautiful New York City and the instant deification of Smirk by the MSM, I thought I was in a nightmare I couldn't wake up from.

These bastards have nothing left in their shabby little bag of tricks.War with Iran? Impeachment may be the least of their worries if they try that. Here in red North Central Texas several people I work with who managed to gag the Iraq debacle down have approached me (I've been outspoken about my loathing for * since he began his gubernatorial campaign in 1994) and made it clear that an attack on Iran would be much more than they could tolerate.

Two more years. Then we can begin to right the wrongs of this nasty bunch.
