Major right-wing blogger (Redstate) dumps Der Mittenfuhrer
Major RW Blogger Dumps Mitt

(When a Redstate front-pager adopts "Multiple Choice Mitt," the Romney campaign has a problem. - promoted by David)

Erick Erickson, the "CEO" of Redstate.com had been a luke-warm supporter of Mitt's Presidential quest. Like many conservatives, Erick is in a bind, trying to decide between Rudy's social liberalism and McCain's "disloyalty". Erick had been sipping from the Romney's kool-aid and believed Mitt was the acceptable balance between the Republican candidate who could win and had the conservative values the right could embrace-despite some reservations.

Well, I don't agree with much of what Erick believes, but I got to give him credit, he figured out what many of us in Massachusetts already knew: that Mitt is a complete phony.

And with his critique of Mitt, Erick has given this race a nice little bumper sticker that capsulates Mitt's campaign and his character:

MULTIPLE CHOICE MITT

In Erick's own words:

I think I'm done with the campaign of Willard Mitt Romney. I'm tired of it. His campaign and the potential for his nomination has jumped the shark. No Republican candidate for President has ever more deserved the title "Multiple Choice Mitt."

I'm tired of the explanations and I'm tired of the dodges.

First there was abortion. He was for it, then really for it, then really, really for it, then indifferent to it, and now against it. Some of his supporters and people on his campaign have called Sam Brownback pro-choice. At least Sam has never been multiple choice. And when Sam became pro-life, he actually fought the pro-life fight. I'm not aware of Mitt Romney ever passionately fighting the fight for life. He has, at best, been luke warm -- playing it safe, but not actually advocating. And he's played it so safe, that on stem cell research, he's been willing to split the baby with parental consent.

1. "Multiple-Choice Mitt" -- LOL!!!
:spray:

Mitt Romney doesn't believe in anything. He has no point of view of his own -- he'll tell you whatever it is he thinks you want to hear at the moment.

In other words, he's the perfect picture of a Republicon politician. :eyes:  :eyes:

Mitt Romney is not simply a liar... he's an actual living, breathing lie, with nice teeth and pretty hair.

2. Good. One down, and MANY MORE to go! I'm hoping each one
of the Pub candidates self destructs like that!

I think McCain is close to being done. He's close aliance with Shrubhas done him in.

Some of them, like Tommy Thompson, never had a chance.

I'm really only concerned about two. Rudy and Newt!

Rudy is a VERY SMOOTHE TALkER, and appears to be able to woo the most staunch RWer during his personal appearances.

Newt can charm the needles off a pine tree, but he'sa dishonest as the worst of 'em, and would be worse than Shrub in privatising everything!

3. Mitt, Rudy and McCain would all say or do ANYTHING to get the nomination
I am not sure who the biggest flip flopper is. Probably McCain.

4. I feel kinda bad for Romney
Because social conservatives just hate him because he is a Mormon. He is a crappy candidate indeed and a major flip-flopper, but the main motives behind the hatred from the right is his religion.

Well, another one bites the dust, and that's what matters in the end. :)

6. Never feel bad for Mitt he is not worth it.
He is a lying sack of you know what. He is a bully. When he wanted to run for governor of Mass he elbowed Jane Swift out of the way. She was a competent governor and a descent human being. The way he treated her was an abomination. He is one of the worst right wing nasties you'll ever want to meet. He hates women, look what he did to his Lt. Governor, hung her out to dry. Don't let the hair or the smile get to you.

5. What;s a Republican today?
The fact is, there's no one running that can run on an honest Republican agenda. Bush and his administration have killed the philosophical foundation of their Party. The primary voters are going with the most extreme candidate who will be totally unacceptable to mainstream Americans.

Enjoy your implosion, Republics!
