Barack Obama is not black enough to be president
I'm sorry. Call me old fashioned. But when you're talking about who's going to be president-the leader of the free world- I want mine to be as black as night. And Barack Obama simply is not.

Oh, he looks the part. He might seem black at first glance. But don't be deceived. This is the United States of America. We want- no, we DEMAND- an inner-city, slam-dunking, jive-talking, cap-busting full-blown African-American president! This has always been the case! Ever heard of a little thing called 'history'? You should look it up some time.

Please. Don't think I'm a racist. But I'm a firm believer in heritage and tradition, and as a patriotic American, there is simply no way I can settle for a presidential candidate who is anything less than Al Sharpton-level black.

Thank you.

1. If we can't trust Obama to pick his birth parents,
how can we trust him as President? :eyes:

5. Is it his skin color or his experience raised by white mom and maternal grandparents?

8. The lack of exposure to street culture and such seems to be the concern of those rasing the issue
Saw some stuff on that last week on one of the talking head shows. Black leaders were those expressing the concern and claiming that they will vote qualifications and not just on race.

Note: I am currently favoring Obama over other declared candidates, old school ties if nothing else.

14. Obama has more "street cred" than most of the people criticizing him.

All the RWers who wore cowboy boots on 1/20/2001 will be holding unofficial "get-togethers", serving fried chicken and watermelon ...

13. This has to win the award for
most ridiculous post of the day. If it is meant to be sarcastic, it is a failure, and if it is meant to be serious, it is just plain...well ridiculous. I love how we are all trying to move beyond color and race issues, to overcome the mistakes of the past, yet instead we are adopting new color barriers!! Absurd and dangerous.

15. This is no crazier than the nutty woman on Colbert tonight.
She's claiming that Obama isn't "black" because he's
not a descendant of slaves.

Colbert is running circles around her.
