Poll question: If you had to choose one ot these things to become a reality, which would you choose?
I know it's hard, but you have to choose one. Which one of these would you be willing to accept?

3. Thanks for bringing some perspective.

For the record when I argue(and i'll be honest) 99% it's against Hillary. But not because I dont think she would be a better President then any of the Republican hopefuls. But, because she has 0.001% chance of winning.

4. Honestly?
If it's a warmonger, I'd rather see the sodomy laws back. Less lethal.

8. Uncensored response:
"What a stupid poll." No offense intended. Nobody I've ever considered 'first choice' has ever been nominated for, let alone won a general election. There's no thought required, since it will happen anyway.

That doesn't mean I'm going to submit passively to the process, though. If the point of the poll is to herd me into submission, it's a failure.

9. No, I think it is to put things into perspective. We should vigorously support
our candidate! Democracy isn't worth crap without citizen input and work. I know that there are those here at DU who think that HRC becoming president is a disaster, but not anywhere near any Republic's becoming president.

10. I think this:
The poll is stupid because the choices aren't reality based. It's trying to force a fantasy response.

For those of us who have moved beyond the narrow, literal, fundamentalist mentality that insists on a good/bad, black/white, either/or, right/wrong, only one right way/one size fits all world view, choosing the lesser of two evils is not much of a choice. We'd prefer to step outside of that box.

Some people will not support the changes I wish to see. Some people are obstructions on the path forward towards accomplishing that change. I don't support those people for public office, no matter what party they claim.

If a party is going to mean something, to stand for something, to accomplish something, it's going to be the vision of those leading. I'm not going to help elect someone who doesn't share my vision. That doesn't change anything for the better. The republican party won't get a vote from me, ever, for any reason. If the democratic party wants that vote, they can earn it. That's simple enough. The republicans can't, having burned that bridge behind them decades ago.

Anyone who has evolved beyond the simplistic, narrow, limited "either/or" state of development will understand this. Those that don't? I can easily agree to disagree.

14. I voted for President that isn't first choice.
The rest of them are total bullshit, and I don't want any of those.

Let's hope known of those happen, and we get President Gore or President Clark in 2008!!
