Cable "News" are berserk over the Geffen-whoever exchange, worse than the
goddamn Britney Spears shaved head and Anna Nicole Smith stories. Completely crazed over it. Nothing like getting started early. They probably think that when the R's anoint someone the Democrats will be damaged. From what I see Democrats are pissed and whoever is nominated will be tough to beat.

1. The overnight change from Obama sliming to Hillary thin skin/lost it makes it
look like the media is pushing Obama.

2. I'm worried that the hatred for both of them is so high in this country (by the rightwing)
that they don't have enough security to protect them. Republicans really hate her and I'm sure racist conservatives hate Obama worse.

3. It is something to be genuinely worried about
There's too many nuts running loose on the right side.

6. That is a real concern - I doubt DU type "hate" would turn violent - but some GOP
nuts are known to feel the need to take out their guns.

10. Agree, it is the right-wing hate-mongers who will feel threatened. nt

16. The media has always favored Obama over Clinton.
I'm not saying that I don't like him, but I watch a lot of news, and Hillary (my senator) is always being described as "too liberal" (not by my standards!) or angry, while Obama is "a rock star." The MSM just doesn't like Hillary, which I think sends a definite message. It's the RW who seem to be most threatened by/obsessed with Hillary Clinton.

4. Well I say it over and over....the dems need to stop
sluring and smearing each other. There's plenty of republics to bash, because they have REALLY done something to be bashed about. If they don't stop they'll destroy the edge at the polls. But they never learn. There has not been one campaign yet where not only do they smear each other their own party does also. Look how they slam Hillary, at times Obama etc for absolutely nothing here. HIllary voted for the war. But there were a lot of other dems who did. Hillary said she wouldn't vote now. But that does not stop people from asking the same question over and over and over. She ought to go into her files print out everytime she has said this and when one of the press asks the question over again hand out the paper and say this is the statement I have made about 50 times.

9. Agree.
Reagan had an 11th commandment (or something like that) which was not to publicly criticize another member of the the party; if you have something to say about it, do it behind closed doors. There's a reason why it serverd them well. It doesn't hand over material to the opposition.

The Democrats are getting a lot of coverage. I don't hear much about the Cons, but then again most of them are only "explooorrring". Sometimes I wonder if the media is trying to make everyone tired of them so that the Cons will seem all "fresh".

11. Yes, they could lose their edge in the polls. The media amplification
of even the smallest remark gets blown up. The R's will be goose-stepping with their discipline and will never get the media coverage the way Democrats do for internal negative remarks by their campaigns.

a different victim. I'm already so tired of it.

8. The Obama guy used a Republican talking point
Going after Bill Clinton's morality, suggesting that after 6 years he's not a changed man. It's Hillary runnnig, not Bill. And the bj is between Hil. and Bill.

14. That Obama guy
Is just a donor that used to be on Clinton's side. Whatever happened between the Clintons and Geffen is their problem, and whoever tries to get Obama into the equation is just trying to make it a bigger issue than it truly is.

Hillary's people tried it, and it backfired.

15. Geffen is pissed that Clinton
didn't pardon Leonard Peltier - what an ass he was to inject that canard into Obama's campaign. I'm sure Obama will just relish being grilled on whether or not he intends to pardon Peltier if elected.
